Tim Allen doesn't have the voice of a young man like would be needed for this preequel.

So like how Toy Story 2 begins with the Buzz Lightyear video game that they reveal Rex is playing after Buzz gets vaporized.

Bingo. Maybe it’s revealed that Woody and Buzz were actually watching it in Andy’s room or Andy took Woody with him to watch it in theaters. Who knows. Could even be a credits reel thing.

Gotta say, if they have Emperor Zerd (spelling?) in the movie they need to have either JEJ or Hugo Weaving voice him. Maybe Josh Brolin.

Lightyear is about the real life astronaut that the Buzz toy is based on. Evans will play the real astronaut as well as voice the toy.

It's about the person the toy is based on.

See, it doesn't take too much effort to come up with something semi-plausible , that makes sense and can exist in the realm of continuity.

No idea why other movies find it near impossible to take what's been established and build on that.

This sounds like it'll be well done.

Regardless of Allen’s politics, why is this even being made?

Why are people making a big deal of this?

It is not the Buzz toy.

It is the story of the character the toy is based on.

It is NOT the toy from the Toy Story Universe. Tim Allen is the voice of that and always will be.

quote:

Evans took to Twitter to clarify that “this isn’t Buzz Lightyear the toy. This is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on,” in a tweet that had a real “Actually, Frankenstein was the name of the scientist” energy to it.

Wow, as the actors get older, you do have to think if a younger voice might be an answer, but for Chris Evans?

Must be the estrogen in his voice they like. He's as snow flake as it gets. And the guy really thinks he's a super hero. LOL

That’s just fricked up if they kept Tim Allen out due to politics. Tom Hanks should step up for him if this is the case and Allen didn’t refuse the role.

If? Of course they did.

Well this is embarrassing for some snowflakes in here

quote:

Disney+ made the big announcement that a new The Santa Clause series will be coming to Disney+. The filming is scheduled to begin in March and will be set after the trilogy of The Santa Clause films. We’ll once again have a chance to see Scott Calvin (played by Tim Allen) as he will soon be celebrating his 65th birthday. Santa begins realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in life south of the pole.
