It’s just a pathetic thread when you read through it

Re-post since the other may get buried

quote:

Disney+ made the big announcement that a new The Santa Clause series will be coming to Disney+. The filming is scheduled to begin in March and will be set after the trilogy of The Santa Clause films. We’ll once again have a chance to see Scott Calvin (played by Tim Allen) as he will soon be celebrating his 65th birthday. Santa begins realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in life south of the pole.

Nah, Disney has made it clear they hate mainstream conservative thought. Just because they hired Tim Allen for that does not change the fact that they removed him from the role of Buzz Lightyear for no legitimate reason.

100%. Disney's actions are far-reaching, and not at all limited to removing Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear.

Well this is embarrassing for some snowflakes in here

Yeah...they're taking the franchise away from him. So embarrassing:

Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

Nice try though, Spreadsheet.

It's Disney that is pathetic. Re-hiring Tim Allen just to have him leave his second most popular franchise.

Is the other guy simping for Disney? Which would be worse?

ETA: Autocorrect changed simping to dumping.

I’m making fun of grown up adults who melted down about Buzz Lightyear having a different voice when it made completely logical sense for it to do so

The fact Tim Allen is hired on as the main character in a project is prof the melt was super weird

I have nothing to say one way or the other about Disney as a whole

There’s a difference between live action and animation. They couldn’t take off from the Santa Clause without Tim Allen. They can do that with Buzz Lightyear.

So y’all are still doubling down

They could have easily made a random person fall off a roof and move on from Allen without having him back

Allen wouldn’t sign on with Disney as some pitty frick while they rid the world of evil republicans

Yes. Tim Allen’s Lightyear is one of the ten most iconic voices in animation. Both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen refuse to do any other voiceover roles due to their respect for the characters. There was no reason to replace him outside of petty reasons.

Movies are rebooted with a different person playing the lead role all the time. Especially for some dumbass Disney+ show. A different guy has the Santa Clause curse or whatever the frick it is.

Requels haven’t exactly worked out lately, particularly for the Mouse.

So mouse is willing to move on from Allen in one of the most iconic kids movies of our generation due to political reasons, but they were so tied in with the Santa Clause it was too much to let Tim go?

Is that the angle?
