Those here with kids - which shows did you like and hate?

We’ve all sat there with our kids as they watched different shows.
Which shows did you like (sometimes realizing your kid is gone or asleep, and you are still watching it), and which shows made you want to gouge your eyes out?
For me, the worst show ever was “Caillou”. I wanted to beat the living shite out of this cartoon kid. His little sister was less of a little bitch than him. “Barney” & “Mickey Mouse Playhouse” were kind of irritating.
Not too many other shows really bothered me.
Shows that I liked:
(When they were little)
Little Einstein’s
Phineas and Ferb (awesome show)
(When they were older)
ICarly (funny arse show)
Witches Waverly Place
Plus, nothing like Nina at bed time (The Good Night Show)

Luckily, neither one of my kids watched that. It sounds bad.
A lot people bitched about TeleTubbies, but they really didn’t bother me. It was just music and them dancing around.

Loved Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls, didn’t care for Paw Patrol and the thought of Wonder Pets gives me nightmares.

Gravity Falls is one of the most amazing kids shows ever. Got to watch all of that one with my son and I was into it as much as he was.

Craig of the Creek
Teen Titans
All enjoyable to me.
The rest I are shot to me.

Thomas the Tank Engine with Carlin was a favorite. Also, I thought Peppa Pig was hilarious.

I’d rather Veggie Tales on a continuous loop than have to ever watch an episode of The Wiggles again.
Man, that shite sucked.

Let's see ... I have six children ranging from 5-17 ... so I have seen some shows ...
I liked Best for Preschool:
Bluey, Peppa, Rolie Polie Olie, Peg & Cat
I liked the best for the younger school age kids:
Wild Kratts, Martha Speaks, My Little Pony, Dinosaur Train
I liked the best for pre-teens/young teens:
Gravity Falls, Phineas & Ferb, Amazing world of Gumball, Star and the Forces of Evil, Craig of the Creek
The worst -- I'll just lump together:
Caillou, Paw Patrol, Little Bill, Steven Universe, Sunny Day, Wonder Pets
We never really watched the live action stuff.

My kids are grown now, but we had our favorites. Johnny Bravo, Penguins of Madagascar, and the late night Disney Channel lineup (my youngest would stay up til 1:30am CDT weeknights in the summer just to watch Jake Long:American Dragon, I would stay up with her to see The Emperor’s New School and The Replacements just before...good times.
But I’d like to take a moment to talk to you current parents of school age kids about Odd Squad.
First season, with Olive & Otto, was pretty good.
The introduction of Odd Todd was a highlight, and the development of secondary characters such as Owen and Orchid were also a plus.
However, season 2, in which Olive & Otto were replaced with Olympia & Otis, took the entire series to a new level.
The plots, the dialogue, the secondary characters, the in jokes, the running gags, the bizarre interplay between the agents and the villains, all sheer perfection. Quite frankly, it became one of the most entertaining TV shows I’ve ever seen, kids or otherwise.
Season three, with all new agents, has been decent, but the chemistry between the principal players in season 2 can’t be topped. My only disappointment was when they revealed the identity of the “real” villain in the finale. That kind of ruined one of my favorite character’s arc somewhat, but the journey up to that point was good enough to overlook it.
My advice is, watch a few season one episodes to get yourself up to speed on the premise, then be sure to catch the season 1 finale into the season 2 premiere to make the transition, before enjoying the rest of season 2 in all its twisted glory.
You’re welcome.
