Thor: Love and Thunder might be the next big failure to come from Kevin Feige's Phase 4 as the flick is being compared to Batman & Robin, the worst Batman movie of all time starring George Clooney.

Twitter user Christian Toto who runs a blog that is described as the "Right Take on Entertainment" and also writes for the Daily Wire tweeted out his reaction to Thor: Love and Thunder offering the film is a "tonal disaster" and more. "Saw Thor: Love And Thunder -- full review next week... Can share it's way more Batman and Robin than any superhero film should be. Tonal disaster," states the tweet.

Oh, no! A right wing nutball doesn't like the movie with gay people and a strong female character... Whatever will we do!

Christian Toto is actually usually pretty fair. I'll wait to see the reactions like Kenobi.

Why do you care? Some people are tired of corporate social justice being injected into popular content. Question is, why do you mindlessly suck on the teet of whatever they feed you like a unthinking drone.

We all know how this will go.

Chris Hemsworth will play the meat-headed emasculated goofy white guy that fumbles and stumbles about and Natalie Portman will be the highly educated scientist that has to lead dumb-dumb magoo with a cape to the promised land.

There will be a female empowerment message, just a fact of the New era.

Given that the comic book story arc that this originally came from sucked and was poorly received by fans I have very low expectations.

I mean at this point they're clearly just trying to get by from Chris Hemsworths charisma.

Anyway ill give it a pirate. If nothing else it can be a postscript to Endgame.

I mean if he's calling it a "tonal disaster" then I'm guessing this is another WAP moment where he's just not hip enough to get "it".

Taika has a long history as a director at this point. Is it possible that he went too far and his silliness came off as Batman and Robin? Yes. Is it likely? No. Is it likely while being under Marvel's tight grip? Very unlikely.

I mean you can kinda tell that from the trailer.

Super serious potentially interesting villain, seemingly high stakes, While everyone and everything else is a huge joke. Even in Ragnarok the villainess got to have some amusing moments. Then you've got Thor finding himself for the 20573th time, etc.

Jane foster will make a better Thor than Thor for some laughs. Im OK with it all since once upon a time comic book movies were just stupid fun. Those days are coming back.

I mean, we’ve had plenty of super serious Marvel and DC comic movies.

I’m not mad at one, particularly one done by Taika Wakiti, that isn’t too serious.

I don't think a less serious tone is the issue. We had that with Ragnarok, and it worked very well. I think the implication is that this movie is bad.

This is what I remember:

quote:

Asked about the tastes of Marvel’s readership, David Gabriel, the company’s vice president for sales, said, “What we heard was that people didn’t want any more diversity.”

quote:

one of its executives seemingly linked poor sales to a lack of enthusiasm for newer characters who were female or had more diverse backgrounds, like a black Captain America, a Korean-American Hulk or a female thor

quote:

Ms. Wilson had a lot to say about the Marvel diversity firestorm on her blog, including one critical point that complicates the situation for legacy characters like the female Thor. She noted that they might be better embraced if the original hero had not been humiliated in the original hero in the process

NYT article circa 2017

So Thor becomes unworthy for basically no reason. Gorr makes some points about Thor's behavior but the writers forgot the 284826262 times where Thor acted selflessly. Anyway im sure it will be a fun watch. I mean I hope it will be.

I have not watched a single TV show or movie from Phase 4, but if what this critic says is true, there's no doubt in my mind that Disney should have ended the MCU with Endgame.

SPOILERS:

From r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers
quote:

-End of movie also included Korg having a kid with another Korg with a mustache. Korg is gay btw, since all Kroans are male (as depicted in the comics).
