I don’t necessarily have a problem with it when people do it. I’ll notice someone’s work influenced by some else’s, but if done the right way, I don’t mind. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. However, AI’s attempts all seem insincere, at least so far.

We should all be. It's not just for replacing those who are "creative". This is just the sizzle reel. The higher up you are from the guy who's actually sticking the shovel into the ground, the closer you are to being replaced.

IDK what new Hollywood films you're watching, but they're not getting better with this in no-AI CGI. They may be getting worse (or we're just getting used to the tricks they use).

The point is, this is going to be shite tons cheaper. AI doesn't have to be better than human artists. Just good enough to get the job done and it wins.

“Hollywood” is salivating over the potential of giving you this slop and making you pay for shite with zero art or human existence behind it so they never have to pay for another actor, writer or director again.

Actually, I'm the one who is salivating because this allows me to make my own shite without having to fork over $150 million (money which I don't have) to do it.

At least you accurately described the end product.

Some people are ate up in culture war nonsense that they'll actively root for AI slop to replace people working. Also cool AI made a decent looking trailer even humans make bad movies look good through trailers look at Terminator Salvation

Just talking about AI stuff as is.

Hollywood’s problems are a whole different kettle.

At the end of the day, if I enjoy it that's all that matters. And maybe I can share it with the world on social media and get some extra cash for my work? If this technology allows for it in the future, I'll make movies with it for fun and not because I want money.

AI is also a problem y'all really think that AI means it will erase all the problems you claim to have with modern Hollywood? All that "woke" stuff y'all love bitching about will still exist only now it'll be studio paid for AI slop instead of actual people.

I don't agree with Elon Musk on much but he has raised legitimate concerns about AI replacing people in certain fields and this is absolutely a major one.

I’ve heard zero talk of that being the case. No one has said it would.

We’d only love for them to stop.

AI does what the input directs it to do. If equity hires are giving it direction, we’ll get AI woke stuff.

As I said, the direction Hollywood goes is up to them. The audience is under no obligation to follow.

So AI combined Star Wars, LOTR, King Authur and Dune into one movie? Sweet

Within a generation I believe gamers will be able to make their own games based on plot inputs with only minimal guide rails from the platform.

This is why Hollywood is worried
Hollywood lost the tech "edge" over independent and amateur filmmakers a decade ago. And yet even with the technology field for basic filmmaking being leveled, we didn't see the death of Hollywood. Hollywood itself is and will use AI. The writers, actors, techs... they're more worried than the studios.

And for those thinking that this will be the death knell for liberal filmmaking, liberal producers ordering employees to enter liberal prompts into AI will result in the same liberal films that you're seeing now, except they won't have to pay the liberal actors and conservative union members.
