I liked the very end with old Kevin.
Gray looks good on Hartley.
I put it together that Jack's sketch would be the house where they meet Kevin, as they all get together as Rebecca is dying, at the end of S3, as soon as he said "floor to ceiling windows."
If the audio Jack left on the time capsule cassette doesn't stomp on your heart, then you might be dead.

Hadn’t been a moment like this on the show in a while... but man it was so good

Rebecca should have let the boys kick Kate's BF's arse.

At least knock that smug look off his face.

AGREED!
And thinking about it, maybe that would have actually been good for the kids. The Big 3 are "close" but not really sometimes. Having her two brothers team up and beat that shitbird's arse may have totally changed the relationships of the kids.
Brought Randall and Kevin closer together. Done something for Kate's self esteem.
Man, I'd love to see an alternate universe episode where they kicked his arse and how that helped them all.
But then I guess we wouldn't have the This Is US show would we?

As someone who lost my dad suddenly and under pretty tragic circumstances when we were not all that much older than the kids were when Jack died, I couldn’t even imagine the emotion of finding an old unknown tape with a message from him to me and my siblings.
I was a blubbering mess just watching that, if anything they underplayed the emotional impact it would have had on them. Like they should have all immediately gone to Rebecca and given it to her and all listened together. An absolutely transcendent moment in their lives and an incredible gift from beyond.
But yeah, I’ve said it before but when this show hits, there’s nothing like it. Great episode and ending, love that Kevin built his dad’s vision of their dream home for her
And seeing Toby finally bond with his son after almost losing him right in his hands, and over the sounds that he loved from Star Wars and realizing there is still so much he can share with and teach him, damn what a great moment for a father and son

Good episode
We need a William moment this half of the season

It was a great heart warming scene. But it seems unbelievable to me that they all three had forgotten about the time capsule for that long. Kids just don't forget that sort of thing.

Well. When your dad dies at 17, you kind of place less emphasis on remembering a time capsule that was randomly buried when you were 11. Just saying.
They also didn’t know there was a tape in there.
Kevin buried a picture, the woman a mash drawing and the other kid a puzzle piece. Nothing was in there of value to them.

How about Madison just putting all her business out there on Kate’s voicemail
Kevin’s face was hilarious

Welp after an hour...
Randall tries therapy and walks out during the session.
He comes back at the end for another session
Rebeccas' early onset Alzheimers is all but confirmed due to an MRI..
this was pretty filler overall

I enjoyed this episode actually
I laughed and I cried...anytime I can do that it’s a success to me
I can’t imagine my mom having Alzheimer’s. So sad

Same here. I think it set things up pretty well for future episodes. Starting to see why Kevin and Randall will be at odds later.

Really? I thought this one was outstanding.
I'm enjoying the stripping back of the veneer that Randall's perfect.
When he told the therapist "This family would fall apart without me," and she said "Would it?", that felt like the seed of the giant rift between Randall and Kevin that leads to their split for the 40th birthday flash forward.
Randall thinks Kevin's a pretty himbo, who literally can't even. He says as much in the session, fully expecting Kevin to drop the ball when it comes to Rebecca's MRI results appointment, yet Kevin handles his business.
Randall's control issues are so far-reaching that he's shoved everyone aside since Jack's death in an attempt to make sure it doesn't go even further sideways, assuming that he can't depend on anyone else. What he fails to realize is that by pre-emptively snatching away opportunities for his siblings to grow, he's the one who's stunted their growth/responsibility. Eventually, Kate & Kevin come to accept that "Randall will handle it," so they don't make the effort. Why would you, when Randall's just going to push everyone out of the way to make sure it's done to his satisfaction?
LOVED Madison's scene with Kate. We need a lot more of her, if we can't have Sophie.

Thank god madison called out Kate

Loved the Becca and Kevin time we got this episode. From finding Joni Mitchell’s house to the baseball card shop. It really showed how important Kevin’s role in Becca’s life is
Randall handled therapy just like I thought he would. I thought Beth was going to pull a gun out of her purse for a second.

Randall came off as a big time prick in therapy.

I found it strange the way the therapy scenes were shot. Not ever switching to the therapist, focusing on Randall and only showing the back of her head.
I expected some big reveal on who the therapist was. But in the end it was just some random actress.
Or did I miss something?
20 years ago that would have been a gun in Beth’s purse. But Hollywood is firmly anti-gun now so instead we get pepper spray.
