Truly. That was bizarre.

Definition of a filler episode lol
Randall’s intentions are honorable but my god man
Kev’s lack of composure or give-a-frick keeps people from trusting in him
Kate still a whale
We need the likes of Toby and Beth to pick this season up

bump for the alternate reality episode

Glad we got To see some William in tonight’s episode even if it was a dream sequence
So I guess we can assume Rebecca does the trial and does well then since all the flash forwards seem to take place a good ways in the future with Kevin’s big house by the cabin, and everyones kids being grown as Rebecca's on her death bed

Still doesn't answer why they are at the cabin and Randall isn't.
I like how they did both what if scenario's. The therapist made him think pretty hard. Good filler episode.

My wife said this was like when Greys Anatomy does a musical episode. Lol pure filler
At least we didn’t get Kate so that’s a win in my book. Randall is turning into an unlikeable character

Not sure I would say unlikable, perhaps more complicated. He has always been the one to do the right thing for the most part. I didn't think about the being upset still with Rebecca about her keeping William a secret.

Sure it does. Randall forced everyone to draw battle lines with his end-around to get Rebecca into the clinical trial, even after she said she wasn't going to do it.

That's pretty weak. Kevin and Randall have always had issues but have been there for each other when the shite hits the fan. I'm not buying it.
Not saying you are wrong, Just doesn't seem like a lot to cause that kind of friction.

The alternate reality was great and all but the one factor that doesn’t seem to jive is Kate is obese with Jack still alive. Weren’t we led to believe Kate gained 200 pounds over 10 years (she was obese when Beth and Randall had Tess) because of the depression and grief from Jack’s death? I’m still of the belief Kate dies of diabetes, stroke, or heart disease before the death bed scene with Rebecca.

What an amazing Randall episode. He’s lost 3 parents and is being torn apart by the prospect of losing a 4th. That call at the end was heartbreaking. To basically tell a parent “you owe me this” when it comes to them seeking treatment is tough.

Sterling is such a great actor.

Wouldn't have been awesome if that had CGI'd a skinny Kate?
Of course they couldn't risk a positive response to a skinny Kate, or a negative response from the fatties out there screaming "that's fat shaming!".
Nope, we are stuck with fat, miserable, fun sponge Kate.
As for the call from Randall playing the only card he had left, "I've been a good son".
I've kinda had to play that card once. I am the oldest of my siblings and cousins on my Mom's side. Also seen as the "goodie two shoes, boyscout" kid.
My Paw Paw's health had been failing and he was in and out of the hospital. On top of that, he's mental health was going down quick. He was in Lane Memorial and my MeMe was at home. One day she fell and broke her hip. She had a life alert and was brought to OLOL. So my mom and dad were splitting duties between both hospitals and really getting put through the wringer.
Meanwhile, my mom's sister, my aunt, went off to Vegas because my dumbass cousin was getting married (her 4th marriage btw). They were all partying and celebrating while my mom and dad were doing everything.
I drove in from Houston and when I saw how exhausted and stressed my parents were, I decided to risk destroying my relationship with my aunt, which is very close, and called her.
I told her how much I loved her, and that I knew how much she loved her daughter. But her sister needed her and I was asking her to cut her trip short and come back. Her dad was going down fast, her mom was in pain, and we were all stretched thin.
She didn't like hearing it at first, but came home.
It just so happened that when she got to the hospital she walked in as my dad was trying to calm down my MeMe who was reacting wildly to the pain meds. As she walked in she sees my poor dad trying to gently restrain his mother-in-law who had taken off her gown and is screaming bloody murder. That convinced her I wasn't overreacting.
TLDR: Randall did what he had to do, and I can relate.

I feel like Mandy Moore and teenage Randall might be the best actors on the show. Milo is good too obviously.

Funny how Randall envisioned himself as a professor player banging his TA’s

Season finale bump.
I know the episode just aired, but don't want to post any spoilers until most of the regulars have chimed in.

Hell of an episode
I was waiting for Kevin to throw a punch
Both of them said some downright hateful things to one another

The show has definitely gone down some but when it’s on... it’s one of the better shows on TV and tonight is a good example .
That last few minutes was an absolute mindfrick
