I agree. It was weird how they slowly introduced the therapist. Plus it hinted that she knew him already. Kind of a weird director’s choice.
Wife and I totally called that she had a gun. But yeah, pepper spray.

Randall getting a little high and mighty about his mother's care...
But I can see his point. Kevin has always been a self-centered a-hole that leaves the family to do his own thing. Hell, he was at a party when his dad died, while the other two watched the whole thing happen.

Kept wondering how they were going to do it. I could see both sides of how they felt. Randall takes too much on and Kevin is trying to make it up.
I think the what if Jack didn't die storyline will be pretty good.

It's not about knowing, but that Kevin was always absent bc he was with Sophie. Always had a "don't want to be here" attitude.

Randall is too serious and Kevin isn't serious enough.
It also appears that Randall didn't talk with Miquel about his plan to send his mother to a program for 9 months. I understand consulting his siblings first, but before telling his mother, I would think he should speak with her husband. Since he didn't, I feel we're going to see some sort of rift between them, also.
Where was Miquel anyway? Why didn't he get to go to the premier?

This season has turned me from Team Randall to Team Kevin (No one is Team Kate!). Randall has become an anxiety filled controlling a-hole, while Kevin has addressed his addiction and become less of an a-hole.

Perfectly played though by both. I do like where Kevin is going. I just wonder if it will last? Randall has some huge guilt going on over Jack.

This IMO is a plot hole they need to address. IRL Miguel would be the husband and could tell her kids to frick themselves.
It is a cool plot twist though reversing the roles. Kevin makes more sense than Randall. Randall becomes a know it all arse. Even Toby briefly becomes a douche and KATE becomes the champion for her son.
BTW.... YOUR MOTHER HAS DEMENTIA YOU IGNORANT frickS!!!! You don't let her "go get some air" anymore. Not in a NYC type environment.
