Had this while catching the end of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. Cray cray sitter/wife with revenge on her mind attacks the family in the attic. Proceeds to get knocked out of the window and dies. Afterward everyone is all sunshine and smiles. Not one iota of a tramatic reaction to a clearly tramatic event. Kid isn't even crying.

All the while Dad is laying in the basement with two broken legs and they're piddle assing around in the attic.

When any time someone orders a cocktail or has a drink in a movie it is whisky, neat, in a rocks glass.

This applies to TV and movies but I hate when they use camera angles to trick the audience. Like when someone is "hidden" off camera and they can't be seen when in reality they are 3 feet away and well within the normal range of human senses of the character that doesn't notice they're there. I find that insulting. Really, you couldn't at least have them hide behind a door or something?

Most of the things in this thread are just bitching to bitch, but this is something that legitimately bothers me. Good call.

Yes, I too hate when an extraordinarily violent action movie which is full of events that could never happen in real life is then unrealistic in the details of its fantasy world. I mean, who cares?

My favorite is when I read someone complaining about something in scifi show or movie.. "because there is no way that a person could do that" ... yeah ok buddy

I get this one though. It happens to me and my sister all the time. We never notice that someone we are talking about is right there.

When somebody answers the phone/answers the door immediately. That shite never happens IRL.

When someone drops off another character at their house, when the driver comes to a stop they turn the car off so they can have a conversation before the passenger gets out of the car - even though the driver isn't getting out of the car. Why do they need to shut the engine off?

If they are in California (which they are) or New York (sometimes the case to) there are actually "idle laws" which say you can not idle your car for longer than 5 minutes or you will receive a $500 fine, sometimes more. ?

It's not a movie thing necessarily, but the very obvious impending doom is annoying. Or the very obvious "this guy is going to die."

THE WEST WING SPOILERS*****

CJ's bodyguard getting popped in the convenience store was so fricking obvious I nearly vomited. For a show that was so tightly done overall, that was a giant frick up, imo.

When guns with "silencers" make no sound what so ever.

Zero Dark 30 was the latest one guilty of that... ARs are still loud as shite with a suppressor...

Believe it or not George isn't at home please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be?? Believe it or not, I'm not home.

When people drink out of a glass or coffee mug and you know nothing is in it. TV shows are the worst at this.

Pisses me off for some reason.
