Someone on here pointed me to his podcast because he had the coach from Last Chance U on.

I listened and really liked his style. I actually listened to 3 of his podcasts in the past few days.

I noticed he's from Covington. What's his story? Is he considered a douche or is ok to like him?

Wanted to ask before i start getting into another Dane Cook.

I mean it shouldn't matter what other people think. If you like someone, you like them.

That being said he has a good reputation among comedians and I think he's funny as hell

I agree it doesn’t matter just wanted to know more about him since I wasn’t familiar with him.

He’s a good listen. He had the guy on that Wolf of Wall St was based on and it was fascinating.

He was on Road Rules and a few of the early Challenges. I used to see him around LSU the semester after Road Rules and he always gave me dirty looks. He's not very funny though. I never understood how he made it as a comic.

He's a great listen.

He actually had Dane Cook on his podcast and he made Cook seem likeable.

He’s a funny dude. I don’t think he’s figured out how to properly hone that into stand up yet, and maybe he never will, but he’s a unique talent in the comedy game.

I recommend his "This is not happening" bit about appearing on Opie and Anthony with Darryl Strawberry.

The word for the day is "cocaine."

his standup is "good" but he's hilarious on his podcast when he's just riffing with his guests and talking about different stuff.

The material he comes up with off the top of his head and the comparisons he makes are next level

That's basically what they do on David Spade's new show, and I hated Theo when he was on that episode last week. Legit thought he was trying way too hard and you could see what he was going for, and it just wasn't working.

Outside of that episode and the old MTV shows, I have no interaction with him whatsoever, so I can't speak to his other bits.

I never understood why Dane Cook gets so much hate. I guess its cool to hate on the guy? When I was evacuated for Katrina, I bought his double album and laughed my dick off while travelling the state looking for places to stay.

He should stick to the podcast format. His standup isn't that good tbh.

Rule 1, don't care about other people's opinions about things you like.

I think he's hilarious. Listen to the podcasts Joe Rogan had him on. Their great. The way he tells a story just sounds like me and my friends reciting things. Good to have a coonass comedian. Feel like we can relate more.

it's a combination of jealousy, hating on him for not "paying his dues" and his audience being full of teens/college aged kids. Throw in the joke stealing and there you have it.

I've gone back to watch some of his stuff and it hasn't aged very well.

His dvd special where he talks about his parents passing was really good though because he talks through his set and explains like "behind the joke"

haven't heard so can't tell if it was him trying too hard or if he was being legit.

I will say on his podcast I don't get the sense he's trying too hard, more like a couple buddies hanging out drinking beer and busting balls

At this point there is probably more money in a top podcast than being a middling stand up, anyway.

You seem like a real nerd so I’d imagine he wasn’t the only one giving you dirty looks.
