Great movie and the funny thing is Jordan was interviewed a few years back and asked about how outlandish the movie was and what % of it was accurate. He said prob 90% of it is true.

Crazy fricking story.

It’s one of those movies that are incredibly enjoyable while hating the main characters at the same time. Jordan has some moments of likability here and there, but Donnie completely sucks.

My favorite scene is when Coach Taylor meets him on the yacht.

One of my best buddies has an epic Wolf of Wall Street story.

He had just married his wife, and their family tradition is they all watch a movie Christmas Day. Because he’s the newest member, they let him pick. Well my buddy doesn’t know a single thing about movies but saw Scorsese and Leo and assumed it was gonna be some finance movie.

Needless to say there were some uncomfortable moments with the conservative inlaws when they were snorting coke off a hooker’s arse lololol.

They told him that’s the last time he gets to pick the movie.

Much like a Tootsie Pop, the movie was a satisfying experience that took you through layers to reveal its chewy center—the more important overarching theme of the film. That being a nude Margot Robbie.

I laughed way too hard at that line because I totally understood where he was coming from due to some personal experience.

WoWS is the 2nd most memorable "old people leaving within 10 minutes because they clearly just bought a movie ticket with no idea what movie was being shown" theater experience of my life.

#1 is Bruno. It was a showing in early afternoon. That one may be impossible to overcome.

For me it was Tropic Thunder. When I saw it in theaters there was a woman with probably like a 10 year old kid with her in the seats in front of me. The opening scene was of course "I love the Pussy" and she took her kid out of the theater with the quickness

Probably thought it was a real war movie akin to Saving Private Ryan or something

This movie is in my Top 3 “Surprise, This Is One of Best Ever” movies for me where I had no idea what the movie was or about, probably won’t like it, but let’s give it a shot.

1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Wolf of Wall Street
3. The Matrix

Jordan's real wife (Nadine Macaluso) has a TikTok page where she dispels some of the things that happened in the movie and tells stories about when she was married to the Wolf.

It's fairly entertaining.
