The Yennefer chick is straight fire and manna from heaven.

Anya Chalotra used a body double for the hunch back sex sceen, but said she didn't want anyone else playing Yen so she took over the rest of the "sex" scenes witch consisted of her show her tits and nothing else.

quote:

She told us: ‘I had a body double for the sex scenes, and she was always there. Flora. ‘But I didn’t, I only used her for the first sex scene because I realised very quickly in that first sex scene that actually, I didn’t feel comfortable anyone else portraying Yennefer, because it’s still acting isn’t it?’

Let me use her for the real sex scene and then I will flash my tits for the rest of the show because "that's acting too."

Her body double's body was much better than hers anyway.

I posted earlier that the hunchback had the best tits on the show

No doubt!

Why don't body doubles ever show up in the credits? I hope it's because they don't want to be there and not because goody too shoes actress wants people to think they did the scene. If you don't want to do the full part then don't do the damn movie.

I was actually surprised a few main actresses even showed theirs, usually they are nope I am not doing it I am to good for it, and shows/movies get extras to have sex or get naked for the gratuitous sex/nudity.

So people bitching about the timelines can be forever angry at Christopher Nolan. Lauren Schmidt pulled the idea directly after leaving a show of...Dunkirk.

This series is leaving an itch that needs to be scratched and I have to wait another year

I've watched it twice already.

I do have one timeline issue, Geralt shows up at the merchants farm relatively quickly after the city falls the Nilfgard, helps merchant, get's bit rides a cart to the house.

Ciri, go to the enchanted forest, hang out a while, gets tricked into going back, makes the journey on foot, escapes, wanders around, steals a horse for a weeks ride ahead of her.

He was in delirium for a while after the attack laying in the cart.

From what I've learned through various interviews posted online, the showrunner (Schmidt) fell in love with the first set of short stories. Her biggest issue was Ciri was not born (obv) and the original way they were going to do S1 was through Ciri's eyes. She also wanted Yennefer and Ciri to have substantial face time in S1 so new fans and old would attach quickly. Obviously (after reading tons of wiki) they condensed some non and very critical scenes together (Brokilon Forest). She also realized the need for timelines but in a non-convventional set. Picked up the idea from Dunkirk.

I have been nerding out and not apologizing for it.

I have just played wild hunt, and the wife has no background in the series, and she's explaining stuff to me

So it can't be that confusing

Just watched episode 1 and I liked it. Hell, the fight choreography was great. Cavill looks to be working as hard as Keanu when it comes to learning the skillset. He went all John Wick on those clowns in the marketplace.

The one review I've read was overwhelmingly positive and they didn't like the first 2 episodes. If they get better, I can already say I am ready for season 2.

I already bought Witcher 3. I hope I didn't need to play the other 2 first.

I almost didn't watch this because I was skimming headlines of negative reviews. Glad I decided to delve further to see it has a fan following. I'm on episode 6; I can see why mainstream critics are confused by the appeal if they know little about the games or books. Glad it's been renewed.

You don't need to play the other two first. There are some characters and quests that are much more interesting if you played Witcher 2 and a bunch of parts that are alot cooler if you've read the books (particularly in the second DLC), but none of Witcher 3 will be confusing even with no background at all.

Enjoying it, but I’m distracted and It’s a bit confusing. Will have to rewatch,

Also, after playing the games, it’s kind of bizarre to see so many nonwhite characters, especially seemingly out of place. Should have just made some races ethnically different instead of a hodgepodge, would have made more sense

Overall casting has been good though.

I’d suggest you simply rewatch it with the knowledge you have now about the timelines and let yourself enjoy it.

Definitely going to do this. Not having to rack my brain to figure WHEN the hell is going on and just being able to focus on WHAT is going on should make it more enjoyable. I may find the books and read through those THEN rewatch it.

The way they depicted the episode on the law of surprise and how it ties into Ciri was not ideal imo. Not saying it’s bad at all but I understand the criticisms as well. I think this was always meant to be a build up to the Wild Hunt.
