My thoughts exactly. I really liked S1, but I thought it’s strength was the characters and actors portraying them.
Plus, the lone holdover was my least favorite character by far. She was the weak link in S1 for me.

Give it time to breathe. It has 100 on rotten tomatoes and all the critics got to see the first four episodes to screen..
It won’t be as good as season one, but it looks like it has potential. Not crazy about the casting but I do love F Murray Abraham.

They both have money, but swimsuit guy mentioned at one point in the episode something like "now that he's loaded" or something. So I think that quiet cuck guy's wealth is more recent.

The thing about Armand is that not only was he the best character, he was injected into each storyline and tied them all together.
I think that missing component is what will hurt the most.

Nice! Season 2 starts off just like season 1. Whole bunch of nothing happening at a beautiful resort. To this day, I can’t figure out why I watched and enjoyed season 1 lol. Guess I will do the same this season

Watched the first episode just now. I actually liked it a lot. Seems to have solid characters and set up several different plot lines fairly seamlessly.
Yeah, seeing Chris weirded me out for a second. He looks so fricking old.
While I agree that this would’ve been better as a prequel with Armand in it, I think they could pull it off. I also thought Jennifer Coolidge wasn’t as bad this time around either (and I normally hate her).

Either the hookers or one of the hotel staff will be the link between all the guests/storylines, but none of them will be as interesting or entertaining as Armand.

i liked episode 1. Should be fun.
But, for me, i'm kind of over Coolidge and her dumb blonde routine. I was over it in the Watcher series too

I thought Coolidge was annoying in season 1 but her sex scene in this episode and the cheese being made by a blind nun in a basement had me loling
