And the Oscar... er... U-Dog, seemed even more shocked that they were going to use his body as a distraction.

The only thing I can think of that was relevant (or could be relevant) was Michonne making an instant decision to kill the guy as he was running it out. The group seemed pretty surprised by her actions...that she was that numb to it all and could make the tough decisions on the spot.

I agree with this. We, as the audience, know she's willing to kill humans to survive, but the other 3 people in the cabin didn't know that.

I think the old dude "mr coleman" was the scientists dad. He said his parents were killed when he was young but the picture he showed to the old man was just one of the daughter and not the son. Afterwards he had a tough time with Andrea killing mr coleman even though he had already examined zombies earlier.

Maybe--I missed the pictures and didn't really catch most of the dialog about the repetition of names/faces/pictures.

I thought he was just having a hard time with the death scene because he realized how quickly things can get out of his control (and how close he came to almost getting bit) as Mr. Coleman turned and lunged at him almost immediately. Since he had never seen the transformation, he could have been shocked about how quickly it happened.

When they 'trial run' the experiment when Mr. Coleman is still alive you only see one picture, but after he dies he has photo's in his hand when he asks that question. You can't really make both of them out, but there are certainly two pictures.

So, what is the deal? In order to get in good with Rick you have to kill someone?

Oscar killed the prisoner. Michonne killed the hiding guy....

Right there was a picture of the wife and daughter i believe and no photo of the son for sure. I think the doc couldnt believe mr coleman would come at him like that bc in reality it was his father

I had the same issues with the car, the hermit, and the stupidity of the "scientist". Also didn't understand why Michonne didn't just say her name and explain why she's a friendly. Not like they were going to run a background check on her... and I would want them to know ASAP that I didn't off their friends and take the formula to get in the gates without much trouble.

If they go in throught the front gate I'm going to shake my head. Michonne ventured all around that place without being noticed so it can't be too hard to sneak into. She knows where to go.

Look forward to the crap hitting the fan. These episodes have been going by much more quickly than last years. Much better season overall.

I think it was a scene to show how little that clan really knows about walkers and how protected they are from reality. Mr. Coleman was just an old dude used to demonstrate this to the audience.

One of the problems I had with the episode was Michonne's interaction with Rick's group.

I would think that after spending all that time time Andrea's chatty arse, Michonne would have heard countless times about Rick and his crew.

Seems like putting 2 and 2 together would have been easy for Michonne

No shite. She's becoming less and less likeable every episode. "I didn't ask for you help" Uh, bitch you strolled up to the fence bleeding out and carrying baby formula, what the frick?

Making their bones.

If Rick is Michael Corelone, will the Governor will end up being the Turk or Hyman Roth?

someone help me out b/c i feel like they've (the scientist/doctor guy especially)mentioned this at some point:
if a zombie has no way to bite (teeth removed) does he still try to bite/feed? i thought i remember that once you remove their teeth they become docile. did i dream this?

Michonne's seemed docile but she removed their arms and lower jaw. The governor had the teeth removed from the ones around the ring but they looked pretty spirited. Dont remember anyone saying anything particular about them becoming docile, though.

correct. They discuss this after seeing Michonne's "slaves".

I think this was more because they had been starving for months. Obviously because they had their jaws removed but it wasn't an instant thing.

My prediction for the midseason finale:

Stand-off featuring:
Rick and Mayor - guns facing each other
Glenn and Merle - guns facing each other
Daryll and Andrea - guns facing each other
Michonne - caught in the middle

Rick puts down gun. Mayor then points gun at Daryll and pulls trigger. Merle jumps in front of Daryll and takes the bullet for his brother. All guns now pointing at Mayor but no one fires just yet. Andrea looks at Michonne as if to say, "don't do it," Michonne performs a helicopter move with her sword taking off the Mayor's head.

The towns people begin to pour into the streets wondering what is happening. Andrea tells Rick that he must address the crowd and tell them what happened, why the killed the mayor and the other people. That it is the only way they will understand.

Rick agrees. As he begins to climb onto the wall to address the crowd, Walkers start pouring through the holes that Rick and his crew made in the town's defenses. They attempt to fight the walkers and Rick really tries to save the towns people. But, they are too weak mentally to handle the challenge. Rick and crew desert the town and it's people leaving most of them to die.

They get back to the prison and find that the men the mayor sent in have been killed, but that the crew is no where to be found...

The End.

Actually an older character who preceded the Governor.
