anyone else think that sophia's mom may dream next season about sophia and thats how we see the back story on how she became a walker.
Perhaps merle found her after she became a walker, followed her hoping she would lead him back to the group and then she did.

BTW, watching that scene again on youtube, I tried my best to keep up with the shots fired and get some sort of count. I watched it twice. First time I counted 95 shots, and second time 104 (counting the Sophia shot).
So right around a hundred shots I guess. For (what I can count to be) about 16 zombies (counting Sophia and the one on the rope that Rick had. Plus the 6 or so shots that Shane put into the zombie girl on the rope.
I sure hope ammo grows on trees.

Not to mention the "firing range" scene where they wasted probably 500 rounds.

you could never have been biten, die of a gun shot and still come back as a walker.
Hold the phone. So anyone that dies after Z-Day becomes a zombie? Even if they have never come in contact with one?
frick that shite.

That has not yet been established for the TV show and as the show is different than the comic in some ways this could also be different. I had avoided posting on this as I have read some of the comic, but I guess the zombie is out of the barn now.

MyMy understanding in the comic universe the Z virus is latent until you are killed conventioanally. The virus then activates and a zombie is formed. Everyone carries the virus.
The show and most other zombie universes are different. The virus is transmitted by a bite, you die, you come back as a walker.

i'm not a spoiler nazi but i thought this was a pretty big one but no one's making a big deal of it so....

Come on, the show and comic are so different the one doesn't spoil the other.

Really, why couldn't they just walk up to the walkers and kill them with single shots to the head? No need for a hundred shots.

Haven't we been shown a lot of dead people who are NOT zombies? How would that fit with the "everybody who dies becomes a zombie" theory?

That thing in your avatar...... I wanna frick it
I think the dark knight reference actually fits pretty well. Everyone thinks they could do a better job but rick always has came through.
Shane claims that he saved lori and carl at the camp in the first season because rick went back into atlanta. However without ricks guns EVERYONE dies. Rick saved those lives. Shane was losing and losing horrible until rick and the cavalry arrived.
The problem is Shane and Rick are both alphas. You can't have two alphas in one pack and regardless of what shane claims he doesn't have the ability to make the tough decisions like rick.

Just wanna check in to say I loved last night's episode. Best episode outside of the pilot. Last ten minutes was badass TV, and not just for a TWD scene.

Sorry if Germans, but really good article on last night's episode that sums up most on this site's feelings perfectly:
