I think that was the first shot from the tank.

what was the deal with the burning tower you could see in the background? When Rick was negotiating with Gov, you could see the top of a guard tower burning. Has this been shown before? Thought it was odd.
That is the very first explosion that Rick, Daryl, and Tyreese heard that drew them outside the prison. The tank shot the watchtower.

I agree, just can't figure on a motive. It wouldn't support his alcoholism at all and I can't think of any other motivation.

I'm trying to remember who was last seen with each other:
1: Glenn and whoever was on the Bus
2: Tyreese with the three(?) girls
3: Sasha, Bob and Maggie
4: Beth and Daryl
5: Rick and Carl possibly Michonne but she wasn't there in the very last scene
Also, from the Gov's group sisters Lilly and Tara didn't die.
As far as Judith, the car seat was unbuckled... now who thinks that the a zombie would unbuckle a child before devouring it. What's more interesting is that I only recall Lilly having blood on her hands from carrying her daughter. I guess Michonne is a possibility too, since she had that emotional moment with Judith a few episodes ago.

He's shady. Last survivor of two groups. May have a surgical addiction. That rabbit or rat looked morbidly dissected. he has a guilty conscience in my opinion which is why he can't accept a thank you.
I worry about Maggie and the other girl being alone with him to be honest.

There were four at one point when they decided to take part in the fight.

Just watched it for the first time.
Holy hell I can't believe they killed Herschel and the baby
Daryl is easily the biggest badass I've seen on tv

I think it's the little girl with the gun. She first looked at them as pets, which is a bit fricked. Her dad died and the woman taking over as her mother kept her at arms length (refused to let her call Carol "mom") while also teaching her to be a hardass.
I think she was feeding her "pets" until shite went down, especially the whole Carol/"Mom" thing after her dad died. I think it's making her go the psycho/serial killer route and dissecting animals is a classic symptom.

Just look at her face. She's a stone cold killer.

Yeah that little girl definitely killed the two sick ones and burned them. Carol had just shown her how to stab in the back of the head. Carol covered for her fearing for the girls safety from Tyrese. I'm hoping Carol gets back in the group in the second half. Really pumped to see where they head next.

Holy shite! I hadn't even thought of that! Carol covering for her now makes sense as to why Carol was so uncharacteristically nonchalant about it.
fricking brilliant call!
And now the little killer is with Tyreese...

So that little girl dragged them outside too?
You guys are either overthinking this and forgot the strength of a little girl, or the writers are ruhtards.

A few thoughts:
- I love it that in the long run, the Governor really failed at everything.
- I may be one of the few people who don't really have a strong reaction to Hershel's death at all.
- The actress who plays Maggie sure is hot. But on Talking Dead she really seemed at a loss for anything of substance to say. She passed it off as a type of grief for the Hershel actor leaving the show but I think she was just tongue tied.
- The horrible shooting and things like think pieces of metal stopping shots didn't really bother me. The fact that those people were so easily led by the Gov. did a little but I can overlook it.

No. If Carol really is covering for her, then Carol dragged them outside then burned them to hide the evidence of what was probably a very sloppy stabbing attempt. Most likely she caught Little Killah (my new rap name for her) too far into the act to do anything but help her finish it.
btw, everytime I think of LK being with Tyreese and him finding out she was the one that killed his woman, this meme comes to mind...
Is that wrong?

i had a stronger reaction to the little girl getting bitten in the mud pile
probably because i was expecting herschel to die
i only caught the first couple of minutes of TD, but it seemed like the herschel actor still didnt seem too happy about being killed off

The second he smiled at Rick I said to my wife, "Well, Rick is the new Hershel and Hershel is about to die."
Not exactly a stretch but they weren't going to pull the trigger (so to speak) until the torch was passed.
