And I just read an article yesterday complaining they brought half the actors back from the original Top Gun but none of the actresses.

She's 64. Very few people look movie star good at that age. It takes genetics, hard work, and the right amount of plastic surgery in moderation.
The fact she allowed herself to grey and didn't have the surgery showed some dignity. She is not beautiful but the doesn't look like a nightmare clown either. Wayne Newton now looks like Gary Oldman in his "Hannibal" makeup.

I saw this coming 300lbs ago.
How awesome would it be if they kept her as the same love interest. Have a pg-13 love-scene and everything. And just not acknowledge how bad she looks at all compared to him. Would be gold!!

I agree. But I don't think there are any 64 year old women who still look good enough to be in a romantic lead position.

I'm sorry, but she does look kind of bad for 64.
Lots of people still look great in their 60s and it has nothing to do with plastic surgery.
