Good lord

Is anyone in these places normal? Keep in mind this is "real America".

There was a disconnect between the description of the living conditions of the Mrytle beach safari. The former member described it as awful, but the current homes looked very nice. Granted she had left over a decade before.

Also, why did the detective in Florida have a Jungle/Safari themed house? Seemed odd given the circumstance.

I honestly think Joe, Carole, Jeff, Doc are all bad people. In the end, I just felt bad for the animals and a few of the people who got drug into this.

Anyone else get really annoyed by the people who act like they're too good for Tiger King?

They can't just say, "I couldn't get in to it." or "It wasn't for me."

It's always something like...

"Oh God that redneck show? I watched one episode and it's an hour I'll never get back."

They gotta act like the only shows they watch are enlightening award winning breakthrough shows.

The Ringer

Outside of their oral histories and NFL reporting, The Ringer is a shithole.

Back on point, people who want to rehab tigers and put them back in "the wild" are painfully naive. There is no wild for them to return to, Bengals specifically. Wild Tigers and people cannot realistically cohabit the most densely populated regions on earth, especially with the range that a wild tiger needs in order to survive. Siberian tigers have more chance, but even then it's slim.

If these animals are to survive extinction, they have to be in captive environs. It's unsavory, but it's reality.

Wish I had watched it earlier, since seeing online memes had ruined a little bit of the shock value.

It is probably the least surprising thing about all of this

Especially considering what he allegedly said about Shaq

Yeah how did her husband make all that money?

just now reading through the thread. I am 3 episodes in now, and just finished the one that focused on the disappearing husband.

this was my question as well. if you read the complaint that he wrote out by hand, it looked like something a retarded 8 year old would have written out. how in the hell did this guy accumulate such a fortune?

Combined with the fact no one really seemed certain what he did and his penchant for burying cash, that's why I am really suspicious he was into something sketchy.

That's why I'm not as convinced as most that Carole did it. Don seems 100% to fit someone who was involved in shady stuff with shady people, and disappearance is an occupational hazard in that line of work.

When she mentioned he was still making multiple flights, without a license, and under radar that was a big "I'm smuggling something" kind of flag IMO.

So Jeff's new partner is done (Tim Stark). They just shut his shite all the way down in Southern Indiana.

quote:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A USDA judicial officer has ruled that Tim Stark willfully violated the Animal Welfare Act on multiple occasions between January 2012 and January 2016, and has affirmed a USDA administrative judge’s decision to revoke his license.

For more than 20 years, the self-proclaimed animal refuge Wildlife in Need has offered the public unmatched access to exotic animals in Southern Indiana, but the operation has also come with controversy—lawsuits, failed inspections and allegations of animal abuse.

The USDA revoked Tim Stark's animal exhibitor license in February and fined the facility a civil penalty of $300,000 for the 120 Animal Welfare Act violations listed in the lawsuit, and Stark was fined $40,000 for his violations.

The ruling came after the USDA filed a lawsuit against Wildlife in Need and then an eight day hearing, including 101 admitted exhibits and over 2,000 pages of transcript, which included the testimony of 25 witnesses.

Stark appealed the ruling soon after it was released, detailing 10 categories of alleged error by the judge, but the new ruling explains the "errors" were previously addressed and not evidence for the license revocation to be overturned.

Stark has 60 days to file an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals, if he wants to seek judicial review.

I haven't read the whole thread, so it may have been mentioned, but I just saw a theory that Jeff Lowe is actually her first husband. And Carol hired him to set Joe up. Had a side by side of them and they really do have similar features.

It’s been mentioned and it’s stupid.
