A companion piece to the hit film, The Social Network, Sorkin's original screenplay tells the true story of how Frances Haugen (Madison), a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz (White), a Wall Street Journal reporter, to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network's most guarded secrets.

Meh, while Social Network nailed Zuckerberg with Jessie Eisenberg, this is a huge miss...

Look, I'm a Sorkin fan and I know the dialogue is going to be great, but Jeremy Strong, albeit a great actor was a bad pick.

He looks too old to be Zuckerberg in 2021, which I think this takes place.

I'll still have my arse in theaters for this.

Eisenberg made Zuck look normal.

Strong is going to kill it as robot Zuck.

Mikey Madison either has a good head on her shoulders or a great agent. After she won The Oscar every sci-fi and fantasy franchise was trying to get her, she passed and waited for roles like this. She could've ended up as another cookie-cutter heroine in a washed up movie/TV saga.

Great idea by Sorkin to have the reporter being in way over his level of Tech savvy, so that he can explain everything to the audience with his usual exposition dumps.

Is he though? He was winning all kinds of awards the entire time succession was on and I felt like I was taking crazy pills the entire time.

"i I I I uh you kn kn know, just want to uh, b b b b be the boss."

Like is he getting best supporting actor awards just because he is good at stuttering?

The trailer doesn't make this movie look as much fun as the first one was.

Hard to discount that the first one had David Fincher directing.

This could go real sideways with a Sorkin script and him directing

He absolutely is. That shot of him sitting all fricking straight and weird in the chair was creepily spot on.

Disagree. This looks like a much more accurate portrayal of Zuckerberg. Eisenberg was great, but he was basically doing Eisenberg. He didn't try to act like Zuckerberg.

I don't know. Getting murder-sprayed by a flamethrower being wielded by a cabana-wear clad Leo DeCaprio was a high-point in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Billy Magnussen is killing it with these roles where he plays aloof douchebag tech bros.

How else are we going to get all the walk and talks, you think Sorkin is going to have them walk in silence.

And I agree with the Strong as robot Zuck is killer.

“I don’t know what that girl thinks she’s doing.”

“She’s disrupting.”

Was pretty bad. Rest of it looked okay, though I agree Sorkin as a director isn’t in the same stratosphere as Fincher.
