Great choice. OP needs to change title.

Can't wait for this one!

I'm guessing (hoping) that Black Adam will eventually be one of the villains that the Justice League will have to battle since he is one of the few that can frick Supes up.

i didnt even think of that.

so it could look something like Black Adam, Luther, Black Manta, someone from wonder woman movie, and possibly another villain or two.

Basically Luthor gathering his legion of doom crew.

The Rock and other sources keep referring to Black Adam as an anti-hero, and that he is the star of the Shazam movie.

Which leads me to believe that Captain Marvel will get equal or lesser billing.

Hopefully this will lead to Teth Adam making appearances outside of the Shazam movie.

People are gonna' shite when they show that first image of The Rock in that black and gold costume.

The Rock has gotten physically massive over the years. I wonder who they can get to play Shazam that can hold his own against the Rock.

I don't mind if Cap is smaller. I'd rather a good actor than someone thrown in for their size alone.

The actors that come to mind are already in superhero roles (Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum). Maybe that Army Hammer guy is over his post-Lone-Ranger drunk.

Thank god he made the right choice. Black Adam is perfect for him.

This is a pretty fun article of casting Captain Marvel throughout the decades.

For the "Modern Age," they picked frankie muniz as billy and gerard butler as the Captain.

very interesting choices here.

He is definitely the perfect person to play Black Adam. I was a little worried that he could pull off Shazam for the fact that he'd have to act like a 13-15 year old mind. But Black Adam is perfect for him.

But for the life of me, I don't know who would be a good fit for Shazam. That will be a difficult character role to fill.

ETA: Maybe Patrick Warburton? He at least looks a little like the picture in the OP.

Cap doesn't need a 13 year old mind. Just go back to the original concept.

Nobody wants to watch The Rock beat the shite out of a 13 year old.

True, but he still needs to be somewhat naive and innocent. At least more than most super heroes.

You sure about that? I vote they cast this guy as Billy Batson:

The naivete and innocence of an alien. He has the wisdom of Solomon and has to deal with a world that doesn't necessarily work with the same straightforward wisdom and moral compass that was given to him by Shazam.

The Superman of the movies isn't the boy scout of the comics. Give that role to Captain Marvel. Someone who gives everyone a second chance (even Black Adam).

John Cena?

Yeah, like Cena could pull of Shazam from an acting skills standpoint.

But that will be a problem for most of the candidates. Like I said, from a visual stand point Patrick Warburton looks a heck of a lot like some of the comic renditions of him. But can he pull off the character without making it was to corny.

... what?

Dude is waaaaaay too big to be Ranger.

I always picture Ranger as a young John Lequizamo type.

So is Green Lantern out of the JL movie or will they reboot later or will RR play him?
They could just go with the black GL.
