Is that the one with Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn and Norm MacDonald?

Yeah, and it’s a great show. Sue and Brick
are great characters. I like the whole cast, but those two are my favorites.

Psych is not a sitcom.

It's buttery goodness.

I missed that run of good shows that USA had going.

The actor that plays him has some variant of osteogenesis imperfecta. they had to take that into account when he was filming. Didn't affect anything, I just thought it was interesting.

Great shows, but not sitcoms.

I don’t know if it qualifies as a sitcom, but Eastbound and Down is PERFECT from beginning to end. A rare show where the finale just nails the landing. Vice Principals is 1b. But only 2 seasons so that’s not really fair.

I’d also add Always Sunny and What We Do In The Shadows (though they’re both not done yet)

Also, The Big Bang Theory isn’t even the best show about Sheldon.

Strong argument, not perfect from beginning to end. We overlook the flaws (at the time) for what we love. As Don Draper said, nostalgia is delicate but potent.

TBBT fell off a cliff the second Amy became a recurring and main character. She ruined the show in all honesty.

We watched it for a few episodes when it started, then quit it due to it being lame. Couldn’t believe how popular it became.

I’d offer that there isn’t a sitcom that was truly perfect during the entirety of its run. I think you look at a sustained peak of excellence along with always remaining highly watchable.

There are always going to be some dud episodes. Cast changes can be hard to overcome in some instances. There are plot arcs that fall flat. And sometimes, well, shows just get too “caught up in the characters” rather than the “situation” and the “comedy”. Some shows aren’t great from the beginning, but find the right flow over time.

I’d say that the runs of Cheers and Seinfeld were as good as any show out there.

My Three Sons

Characters were allowed to change through aging and maturity and the family was altered via adoption and marriage while retaining the essential elements that made the show so popular.
