I agree with the other posters that this isn’t some top 10 show. The premiere and everything with Bateman was outstanding, but there has been a whole new level of slow boil since then. I just feel a lot of it has seemed too deliberate.
I really didn't need another half hour car ride this week.

nding probably wont be how I want it to end but that is ok. The hero doesnt always win.
feels like with all talk of grief/pain.... ralph may sacrifice himself or something so that el Cuco finally dies .... feels like that's been foreshadowed...
I could be way wrong but Ralphs' redemption part here seems obvious to me.

Also anyone else find it odd El Cuco went into flee/retreat mode instead of feral animal? He seems like an evil ominous creature but when called out this time the look in his eyes is frightened and scared. I would expect more anger/rage. Him fleeing isn’t the odd part just his whole persona seemed off
Not to me, the thing literally camouflages itself and preys on its victims one on one. Its not really El Cuco's nature (so far) to stand his ground and attack while in a crowd of people. Seems like more of a stealth type creature that prefers to blend in/hide.

I’m really trying to get into this show but I feel like it’s such a drag with some poor acting. I am the only one who feels this way? I agree with the poster above saying that the first episode was great and I guess that’s why I’m for some reason just sticking it out.

anyone who thinks there is poor acting in this show needs to move to the soccer board.

Just stick it out for a couple more weeks.

You guys seem to have liked the episode more than I did, as I thought it kinda took a turn for the worse last night.
A couple questions I had (and I admit, maybe I'm just missing some things):
- So the guys with the bubble necks are people el cuco uses/controls to do his bidding, but not people he actually morphs into?
- When el cuco talked about needing to eat, he was talking about pain and grief, not actual flesh? Or was he talking about actual child flesh?
- If he was talking about actual flesh, he seems to eat a lot of venison and stuff...if that doesn't satisfy him, why eat it in the first place?
- So everyone went to Cecil so they could be around Claude and vouch for him, but then they all go to sleep at the same time instead of taking shifts, you know, ACTUALLY watching him?
- If they know he's infected by el cuco, why is no one afraid of being scratched by Claude?
Side note, I didn't realize that a) Claude was an English actor, great American accent, and b) he was in Peaky Blinders as Father John Hughes, but now that I'm looking, hell yeah.

The new person has to be scratched by El Cuco to be "cloned" by him. Nothing would happen if the real Claude scratched someone.
El Cuco as a version of another person (Claude currently) gets a person's DNA by scratching them.

I think children are more pure but he did say the fisherman was full of cancer so it's still not clear

I’m excited for the ending. In my eyes it’s setting up for a legitimate battle/war between Cuco/Jack and the protagonists, which would be an atypical ending for this type of show.

Agree with all this. It’s a good show with great acting. Given that the source material is King, I went in with modest expectations, so from that perspective it’s actually better than I thought it would be. But it’s not going to be something I re watch or highly recommend to people.

Not to mention everyone decided to leave and go somewhere at the same time and left Mendelsons character there by himself

So the person he's cloning is just all kinds of fricked up while el cuco is creating the clone?
