I thought that was just a random guy. Was it the grandpa?

Yeah, Grandpa tackled Cuco, and then when he got up had a confused/concerned look on his face.
I'm somewhat confused as to how Cuco ended up at the same place. Was it just coincidence? Or were they following the strip club guy?

quote:I assume Cuco would prefer to make sure that his victim has a difficult time defending his alibi by at least committing murder in the same town the victim is in. Presumably he learned from his last mistake. It's possible I guess that he didn't even know Jason Bateman was going to be out of town the day he intended to frame him.

Did anyone laugh their arse off at holly calling Ralph's story coincidence? Right after she said he always questioning her.
Those 2 car scenes showed a group coming together IMO.

I liked the whole sleepover before they go to war feeling. I’m hoping Jack has a full character arc and winds up turning on Cuco.
Holly knowing what the puzzle was even when it wasn’t put together was a nice touch.

I'm worried Cuco will turn claude's brother. He seems weak.

I am gonna have to go rewatch, I don’t want it to be gpa and I sure as hell don’t want him to be a scratchee.

It was gramps. I went back and took a look earlier. It didnt make sense because the the sister and grandparents were in the same area. Sister is trailing the boy and Cuco. Then gramps comes from the other side with the takedown. Unless I'm just misses something

Dangit I just ffwd to it too and yes it was him.
He has cuco’s mask in his hand and kinda of clunks it and his hand to the ground, if he got scratched, son of a...

It was definitely gramps. But I didn’t see any blood drawn from him. Gramps was just kind of dazed with the whole encounter I think, and Cuco wasn’t fully morphed so he looked off which I think freaked him out. Someone said, and this may have been from the preview, that his eyes looked strange.
Either way I don’t think it will really amount to much. It looks like the showdown is happening right away, so Cuco won’t have time to morph into him anyway.

He puts his fist in the ground to catch his breath. I'll have to look again but was that to show us a cut on his arm or the foxhead?

Show is definitely solid, but the people in here saying it's the best thing they've watched in years makes me wonder what all you've watched
Good episode this week.
Hopefully the ending doesn't flame out like 90% of King's other content.

It's not the best. I just like the mix of crime and horror/supernatural. I dont watch superhero stuff so I'll take what I can get.

I agree. I don’t think he was scratched. Looks like he is just a fat old man who just ran and tackled someone and is now having issues catching his breath.
Also anyone else find it odd El Cuco went into flee/retreat mode instead of feral animal? He seems like an evil ominous creature but when called out this time the look in his eyes is frightened and scared. I would expect more anger/rage. Him fleeing isn’t the odd part just his whole persona seemed off

I think the fact that he fed off of that sick person and adults may have him at less than 100%.
Plus it hasn’t survived as long as it has by having confrontations in public crowds.
I agree with the other posters that this isn’t some top 10 show. The premiere and everything with Bateman was outstanding, but there has been a whole new level of slow boil since then. I just feel a lot of it has seemed too deliberate.
A strong ending could change that though I guess. But I have enjoyed it, do like the overall tone, and there are some really good performances.

I feel like we know where this is going. I don't expect some grand reveal, rather hopefully just some good suspense. One or two of the good guys is going down. I think maybe Andy and possibly Alec.

Ending probably wont be how I want it to end but that is ok. The hero doesnt always win.
