Is he available to play Han Solo? Because I would pay big $$ to see that movie 10 times in a row.

Or Boba Fett in the 2020 untitled film about Boba

This is one of the plot holes from the OT to the prequels. Obi Wan should know about Leia, but in Empire Strikes back, Obi Wan says "That boy is our last hope" and Yoda says "No, there is another"

I always took that as Obi Wan not knowing about Leia

What if Yoda was talking about Rey? or Finn? or Kylo? He could always come back to the light side.

If I was 10, I would be repeating that line and swinging my arms around constantly for a few weeks trying to move stuff with my mind.

No. No no no. NO NO. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

He was talking about Leia. Originally I took it as Obi Wan not knowing about Leia, but that isn't the case with the prequels. Could have been oversight by Lucas or just as easily that line could have meant he did not believe Leia would be able to be trained or was strong enough to do it. You have to remember, Obi Wan liked dealing in absolutes a lot

Not happening, at least not in 2020. They shelved this one after Josh Trank went bonkers.

God the prequels annoy the hell out of me. Ewan McGregor did a great job but he was given the wrong roles in all 3 movies.

In the phantom menace, he should have been the brash jedi while Qui Gon was the calm, wise one.

He should not have jumped out of the window in Clone Wars, he should not have jumped down into a crowded hangar to fight Greivous. He should have learned from Qui Gon's death to be patient and smart, not charge in like a dummy.

If you are going to make him brash/dumb in EP 2 and 3 then make him be conflicted by the dark side just as much if not more than anakin. Have him have a crush on Padme, have him get pissed off when Dooku injures Anakin, etc. Then you have the whole part in 3 where Obi Wan overcomes the dark side while Anakin succumbs to it.

idk, there were a million ways to make the prequels actually mean something and be enjoyable and George found ways to just make them boring and dumb

Well, he didn't charge in with grievous. They deliberately showed him contemplating his options, and knowing the clones were going to be coming in behind him, he saw that as the best way to keep Greivou there and trap him. It was a good plan until he got in his weird vehicle thing. As for the window part, there was also no way they would have both been able to go get a speeder and be able to track it down. Obi Wan had a brash and impulsive side, always did. He says so in Empire.

I mean, I never took Qui Gon as the not patient one. It's been forever since I've seen that one, so I'd there is a specific example you're thinking of here, I may be wrong, it just never struck me like Obi Wan was the calm one.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
- Donnie Yen's blind priest with a very rudimentary feel for the force was a nice touch.
- The last 5 minutes was perfect. Vader unleashed was immensely satisfying.
- Getting to see Death Star weapon as a mini toy with new CGI was...awesome
- No one getting out was awesome. You figured it was coming, but it's always refreshing to see a movie that isn't afraid to just gank every hero in the film.
- The K-2SO robot was well played comedic relief. It wasn't overly campy like C3PO. It really made his demise at the end a sad scene as he's getting raked down.

So many nerds who overthink so much they can't appreciate movies. It's sad really that dumb shite like being bugged by CGI Tarkin because "OMG FANBOI 4 LIFE" ruined a really well done Star Wars film for some. You need to put down the dirt sheets and the canon for a few minutes if you're getting a movie ruined by a CGI Imperial officer, who really wasn't bad at all to the casual observer.

Tarkin was CGI in revenge of the sith as well. That was the scene where the emperor and Vader are in the star destroyer and looking at construction of the Death Star. Leia looked normal to me. I would have like to see a link between episode 3 and Rouge one. Seemed like rogue one was about 20 years after revenge of the sith. Pretty much left nothing to the imagination in regards to the ending. Rebel ships that didn't make it into hyperspace got destroyed and Vader located the ship with Leia. That's where a new hope takes off. All in all a solid A. Probably in my top 3.

Those were PS2 era graphics. She looked so bad. It was like a cartoon.

Yep. No way people can say Leia looked good

You're freaking Disney. You can make something better than that

It was cringeworthy

Tarkin was passable. Disney had done this before with Michael Douglas in Ant Man with ok results. Leia was worse.

I remember Obi wan complaining that something wasn't right and it was taking to long for the negotiations to start at the beginning of PM. Qui gon told him to be mind full of his feeling and that he doubted the viceroy was purposely stalling and that the negotiations would go quickly.

Let's pretend they never existed.

OK, finally saw it.

I can get the complaint about the score. The character development lacked.

All flaws are forgiven, for this one fact: this movie rescued Star Wars from the Ewoks, Jar Jar and all the other kiddie stuff. Shocking that it required Disney, of all entities, to do that.

I liked it. But the beginning with the mother coming back to have some kind of self righteous standoff didn't make logical sense to me.

She pretty much abandoned her daughter. She is the true villain in all this.

Someone needs to legit explain what a blaster does. You get hit once and you're down somehow.

Made up my own fan fiction:

Blasters send a force of energy to your system and cause cardiac arrest. Like a supercharged taser.

It's the only thing I can figure at this point. Storm troopers down in one shot with protective gear, no bullet holes. Other times if a villain gets shot they walk it off.

I have no idea.
