I hate the entire concept. I hope to everything that this doesn’t become a “thing.”
The people behind Black Mirror were pretty resistant to it as well. The way they handled it, with making an outsider controlling the main character part of the story line, it would seem that this will remain a novelty. If you want to maximize the money you're spending on sets/locations/actors/crew and build multiple legit but different stories you're almost better off making 2 different films. Like a movie told from the hero's perspective and then a movie told from the villain's perspective.

It was a cool concept but I would have preferred a regular black mirror movie or episode.
The story was meh. The fun came from going through multiple endings. It reminded me of a novelty item, something you use once and then never again. Because I wouldn’t want to go back and go through this again and in the future I would avoid any new programs that are similar, ie all the different paths/endings

I assume that had I chosen visit the doctor instead of Colin you would miss that scene completely which would be a shame.
Nah, they make the go back and do that scene. I'm wondering what would have happened if I made Stefan jump instead of Colin though.

Been watching this since about 6 with the wife and I have to say, this was the biggest waste of time I’ve ever experienced. Did we really get this over actual episodes?

No, a season 5 is coming too.

you die, the game is finished quick by the tech company, it sucks, you get sent back to choose again.

Ha. Makes sense. Guess I didn't miss much.
Is the only way for the game to come out good if you murder the father and chop him up?

I was really looking forward to this, and thought it was terrible. The story was bad and didn't stand on its own at all other than to highlight the fact that you're controlling the decisions. The characters were weak and not fleshed out, etc. Pretty disappointed in this. It felt like a pretty bad game rather than a coherent story

When I finished the first run through (after choosing for Colin to jump) and got to make changes to previous decisions, Colin was present in situations that I'm almost certain take place after the balcony scene.
The "episode" was fine, but I won't be playing it again. Definitely in the weakest tier with Waldo and the pig fricker.

The only thing I couldn't get to show up again is the first time we got him in his dad's office the code choices were Pax and PAC. We chose PAC. The next time was Toys or PAC.
I had that happen to me too. I wonder what the PAX option led to..

That green demon pops out of the filing cabinet and you basically re-start. Pretty quick.

I was looking forward to new BM and this was a big disappointment. I hated having to constantly make choices. I couldn't sit back and just absorb the episode. There was nothing cohesive about the story. What you could piece together about the story was not good. It would have been much better if it would have run about 3/4 of the movie, then have 3 choices that lead you to 3 different endings, or something like that.

I need to spend more time going back and making different choices. I got the jail cell ending where he got the 2 star rating and also the one where Collin jumps out the window then Collins wife becomes the pax monster. Also the one where he karate fights the therapist in her office.
Not sure how many more endings I can get but ill mess with it again.

It's an interesting concept, but like others have said the story was kinda meh. I'd like to see another one where they flesh out more how each decision alters the storyline, though I guess you can do that if you watch it several times making different selections each time. Like, what was the point of the cereal choice? How did that choice impact the story ither than the dogs digging where he buried the dad's body later on? I chose the puffs, so I guess when/if I watch it again I'll choose the flakes.

It didn't affect the story other than to add to the feeling by Stephan that he wasn't in control.
Same with the music and the nail biting and computer destroying.

It wasn't too bad to start off, but the novelty wore off quick. My wife and I both said we'd have preferred some regular episodes.

Pretty much this. The whole “story” just felt like meta for the sake of meta.
I like the concept but would have preferred if they implemented it in an episode like the Star Trek one, where your choices determine if you get the feel good ending where they escape or a fricked up ending where they are trapped forever.

Has anyone tried it yet where you don't make any choices and just let time expire?
Posted on 12/31/18 at 10:49 am to DisplacedBuckeye
My wife and I watched it with her parents and sister and brother-in-law. It was a lot of fun in a group, but I definitely would have been dissapointed if I had done it by myself. As a group activity it was great.
What happens if you kill the dad, Colin comes over, and you kill him? We chose to let him go and got like a 2.5 star rating and the jail cell ending. Our first ending was the 5/5 stars with the chopped up dad, but killing Colin seemed like it could have been an interesting ending too.
