The Official Black Mirror Bandersnatch Discussion (Spoilers)

Do we know what the "best" real ending is? Monkeyed with it for 3 1/2 hours last night and the most definitive ending so far was with Pearl rebooting the game in 2018.

I got a couple endings and got bored with it

That format is too much work for me.

Did the one where game got 5/5 but pulled from shelves because dad dead
Got with mom on train
Fought the therapist

Then i quit

I just kept going until I got the end credits without choosing them. I guess I saw all of the endings.

It was a cool concept but it did turn into a chore for me as my OCD wouldn’t let me stop until I had no choice.

Got the 2.5 out of 5 ending with dad dying and going to jail. I actually took notes of the choices I took. Some of it doesn’t make sense unless you watch the movie. All the Xs are the choices I made.

Very worth it. It's great experience esp with others. Fun and great story

There's multiple endings

We went through and watched pretty much every possibility we could think of last night.

The only thing I couldn't get to show up again is the first time we got him in his dad's office the code choices were Pax and PAC. We chose PAC. The next time was Toys or PAC.


We went through again to choose all of the oppposite choices, but Pax never showed up to choose.

Other than that I think we went though most of the possibilities.

Did you get the 5/5 game ending? He essentially tells the shrink (paraphrasing) that he realized he was being controlled, but the way for him to regain control was to only make it appear that we were in control by making all choices essentially meaningless.


Or something like that.

Such a weird thing. I hate the entire concept. I hope to everything that this doesn’t become a “thing.” I do not want to invest this sort of energy into mainstream entertainment. I also don’t think that this story is super fantastic.

But damn if we didn’t invest multiple hours into this, view multiple endings, and continue to look for more. I think it’s actually well done. I just don’t think the average Joe can do this well.
