Pays to be nice and have everyone in town like you. In a down year, they give you an Oscar. I don't think it's that bad that the industry award went to a person people like working with.

Do they really need to go through the names of every picture for all these other awards. They basically could say "and the nominees are the nominees for best picture" for every single one.

I hope you're right. Argo still has a chance if it can pick up at least 2 more wins with something like original score and screenplay. it is extremely rare for a best picture winner to have less than a total of 4 Oscars all together. so far Argo has 1 win with 3 or 4 more categories left.
