Who cares? This means RT audience ratings are a sham. I guess who gives a shite if it fits an agenda.

Is that like the dislikes on YouTube? How's that working out?

Is that guy predicting $400-$500M total? Surely not. That would be a disaster.
ETA: Is that just domestic?

quote:Wait, what? How much do you think this movie cost? Forget that the movie is projected to make >$900 million worldwide (conservatively). High end estimates have the budget at $250 million with $125 million in marketing. That's $375 million to break even, at most.
made more than 500 by then if it's going to make its budget back

No. That's not how budgets work. They don't get 100% of the take at the movie theaters. If they did, there wouldn't be any movie theaters.

My fricking God the level of cope in those replies is insane. I can't imagine spending that much time trying to prove something that doesn't exist

North American Domestic. $500 million would be the top grossing domestic film of the year so far. It would be the first film in 2 years to hit that mark. And it would sit with Barbie, Mario, and TG Maverick as the only non-franchise (mcu/pixar sequel) films to hit that in the 2020s.
(Toy Story 5 could hit 500 as well if disney pushes it long enough. It's not guaranteed at this point.)

Why are so many people here so invested in this doing well?

Some have agendas, as do people here who are so invested in the film not doing well.

I think maybe some of them are getting a percentage of the box office. It's hard to explain otherwise.

I've never paid attention to the breakdown of scores on IMDB so I'm surprised at all the 10s, not just for this film but for any film. To me that says the movie really can't improved upon to any meaningful degree, but obviously to a lot of people it just means they loved the movie. "Great movie, 10 out of 10".

It was bothering me that they went to great pains to hide the identity of the actor playing Agamemnon (I didn't stay through the credits) so I went to IMDb to look up the name.
Bennie Safdie.
Weird.

Who doesn’t want a movie to be good? Always excited for something good at the theater.
