One of the most entertaining and thrilling films of the 1990s. Brendan Fraser was in his prime and the world was introduced to Rachel Weisz:

Absolute all time rewatchable

Can’t count how many times I’ve watched this over the years and was a TNT staple

I met and talked with her and Daniel Craig. She’s certainly a natural beauty.

The Mummy is sort of silly and stupid fun, and wildly entertaining. It was way better than it had any business being. And it’s very rewatchable.

The sequel is pretty stupid but wasn’t bad either (despite maybe the worst CGI in movie history).

I have to imagine a Mummy film has been in talks with the resurgence of Frazier's career.

I dunno if I’ve ever been more attracted to an actress than I was with Rachel Weiz is Mummy and The Mummy Returns.

Even the Rock spinoff movie was fun, and continued the tradition of hot actresses in the series.

The mummy is pure 90s nostalgia.

Maybe not the absolute best but she made the buttoned up librarian look work, especially when she got drunk around the midpoint of the movie.

Saw this as a preview screening while working at a movie theater, not expecting much going in. Came out thinking I saw the next Raiders Of The Lost Ark quality adventure movie.

The Mummy was set to release the same weekend as the Phantom Menace. Smartly they moved it to two weeks before.

The Mummy 1999 & The Mummy Returns 2001 were really fun, entertaining movies. They were good clean fun.

They fit in with other Adventure Romances like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Romancing the Stone, The Jewel of the Nile, The Mask of Zorro. They all kind of hearken back to classics like The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) The Thief of Bagdad (1940), The Mark of Zorro (1940), The Three Musketeers (1973), even North by Northwest (1959) & The African Queen (1951)

Mummy Returns is great. It's the third one that is awful.

Dwayne Johnson's CGI is a slap in the face to all CGI

It is a really good looking movie. Colors are rich. Why are some movies much better than others in this respect?

And included the recently passed Bernard Hill as the wacky inventor.

You need to see her in Definitely, Maybe. Yikes.

Agree with the above posters. Might be one of the most rewatchable movies of all time.
