The Mummy Series: Anyone else love those movies?

I am watching the first one and remembering how much fun this series was. The opening intro that fades into the current timeline was great. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz were great, humor and decent special effects.

The first and sequel were very fun and are well regarded.
I’m just glad they didn’t drag it out for a 3rd one without Wiez and where Fraser had a son almost his age. Oh wait..

The first one is great.
Everyone says the second one is great or even better and I just didn’t see it.
Never saw the third one.

First and second were fun. Classic Brendan Fraser before he fell off a cliff. Prime Rachel Weisz too 
The third one sucked. Surprisingly though, the remake with Tom Cruise (which is entirely different story and premise) wasn’t bad I thought and setup an intriguing universe

Slight hijack: the movie the scorpion king with the rock in it was a very fun movie. Doesn’t seem to get a lot of recognition

I love the first one and I honestly feel like it holds up as a kind of corny adventure flick. I’m always entertained watching it. I can do without the sequels really.

The first one is great. The two sequels are awful. The Tom Cruise one is terrible too.

I like all 3, even the China one. Wish we'd gotten the Aztec mummy they had planned with Antonio Bandera.
Fun movies, first is far and away the best though. Shame we don't get adventure movies much anymore

I said basically the same thing on here awhile back and was bombarded with down votes. The Monsterverse would have been cool.

Mummy Returns they dialed the cheese up but it's still a fun watch. It was great in theater.

I feel like the first Mummy movie is up there with the early Indiana Jones movies with how good of an adventure movie it is
