Dr. Strange’s boring American accent grew on me (from the comics I figured he’d have at the very least a mid-Atlantic accent, if not more theatrical), but I cannot get past the raspy, disinterested dialect of Captain Vocal-Fry.

From this trailer it looks like Ms. Marvel will be the only interesting character. Her series was fun in a Nickelodeon kid show sort of way, especially when they tapped into the Pakistani history.

The villain looks like someone who’d turn you in to HR for calling her “honey”.

Where in my post did I say that this movie will be good or that it will make money?

You didn't. I was using you as an example of why many of these things post Endgame have been largely failures. (insert people arguing what exactly is a failure here)

Disney has been catering to LIKES on Twitter rather than listening (or actually catering to) the audience that brought them to the dance. In most cases, they've gone out of their way to run those off, because who wants straight white males to be going to your movie?!? Yuck! Sure...that's who has traditionally supported comic books from the very beginning, but whatever.

So my point is that your POV is very common, but it's also why Disney has run the MCU into the wall. They ignore negative comments as "trolling" because they care more about pushing their agenda than they do making paying fans happy, and create things designed for social media virtue signaling regardless of whether or not them end up in ticket sales.

As much as I liked the Loki show, this multiverse shite is just dumb

the hook seems interesting enough.

The dynamic between Carol and Monica, and the tension between them could make for some really quality watching, if done correctly. Now where am I on the scale of faith that they will actually do it correctly? Probably not very high.

It's going to flop.

I see your point, but I don't feel like I'm the "social media virtue signal" person that you are using as the example. I'm just not overly obsessed either way with this movie.

Looks like Goose really stepped up his game in this one

Really excited to see his character arc and watch how much he has grown since the last film

There's a reason comic book sales started cratering in the 90s when the SJW stuff started to take over. It drove way the straight male adolescents and pre-adolescents. The morons who are doing their best to kill Hollywood infiltrated the comic publishing houses decades ago. The fact Feige and Disney tried to push a title that got cancelled several times from lack of sales in Carol Danvers tells you it's more about proselytizing than entertaining.

Kamala Khan is as mentioned a perfectly fine Nickleodeon level superhero, ala Shark Girl / Lava Boy, but as a MCU character, they did her wrong.

No, I've not seen Ms. Marvel, but the actress who plays her seems pretty cool and at least adds some much needed enthusiasm to the story. And she seems to know the comics in real life, unlike her co-stars.

While most Marvel fans will dis this movie, I can see where Disney Marvel types and normies will be drawn to Ms. Marvel's energy. Don't know if that'll be enough to save the movie though.

Kamala Khan has that "gee whiz" thing going on, much like Civil War/Homecoming-era Peter Parker.

Her character is the only one of the three with actual charisma. I know Photon’s actress is good but the character is just… bad.

Not to be a dick, really...but this is why Marvel (and Disney in general) is missing the mark so badly right now. They are making moves based on what they think they hear on social media rather than ticket sales or merchandise sold. These things are clearly not connected, and they ignore any bad comments as "trolls" rather than linking them to lost ticket sales.

This sounds reasonable until you look up how much money Captain Marvel made. I'm not saying it was good, but captain marvel lost no ticket sales, based on how it performed.

Captain Marvel made money ONLY because people thought they needed to see it before Endgame. There is no overarching story everyone's dying to see going on to prop this one up.

I think they made Brie look a lot more feminine in this trailer. The suit seem to emphasis her girly side instead of the man cut she had in the pervious movie. AS a comic reader at one point in time, its a step above what they have in the comics AND the first movie.

In short, she doesn't look butch and that is step in the right direction.

Monica Rambeau is okay, no one gave a shite about her in the comics and she was D tier at best. At one point in time I would have trusted the MCU to elevate her but my expectation is low.

Kamala Khan is still too chubby compared to her comic counterpart. If they could find Brie and Monica Rambeau they could have found someone better. Also, perhaps it is only me but her high pitch nasally voice is pretty annoying in the trailer. Imagine that shite blasting for 2 hours in theaters.... For me, shes the weakest of the three.

Brie and Monica actions seem to have impact but Kamala Khan fighting scene look off and over choregraph. Hope they fixed that before the movie released.

I didn't bother watching the Captain Marvel movie when it came out. That made a billion. I am gonna probably go watch this one, might tank at the box office. :P I'm kinda bad luck when I support things.

List of my victims:

Trump 2020 Stolen Election

Georgia 2020 Election

Pennsylvania 2020- Convinced a lot of friends there to vote Trump.

In Entertainment:

Boycotted both Black Panther due to the constant racial messaging.

Supported the DCEU film franchise

Watched Witcher 1 and 2

Did not watch Frozen 2

Watched Wreck it Ralph 2

Watched the Warcraft movie

Didn't watch Avatar 2

Watched Transformer the Last Night

Didn't watch Top Gun Maverick until it hit streaming.

The list goes on! Lets see if the Marvels can break my curse!
