It looks so bland, but I do think it'll do ok at the box office. I'm not expecting another quantamania

It will be a box office flop. At least quantumania had Paul Rudd. It was actually a decent popcorn flick when it went streaming.

Do you have some data showing it'll flop? The truth is YOU want it to flop, but we have no idea this far out how it'll perform.

This goes against everything this most of this board thinks and I'm sure downvotes are coming, but I actually like Brie Larson in this role. I won't go to theaters to watch (I don't actually go to theaters much anymore anyway) but I will catch on the Plus.

I'm gonna watch it when it is on streaming as well. There's no need to see this in theaters though.

Looks like any other Marvel trailer. Just women in lead roles.

the hook seems interesting enough. them changing places whoever they use their power is interesting enough.

“in see light” is not a superpower. we all do.

That Kamala actress looks terrible. I knew there was a reason I did not watch Ms. Marvel.

Depends how you define "flop", but I suspect this will be at best a dud. Captain Marvel is arguably the most unlikeable hero to have a Marvel franchise. Brie Larson is a humorless bitch. Mrs. Marvel didn't perform well at all and the other members of the team are largely unknown. Add into that the comic book fatigue that has hamstrung most recent Marvel and DC movies, and this one is as ripe for a bomb as any. I think they know this, too, explaining their continually moving the date around.

That's a decent premise. But this looks legit terrible. I'm not a huge Larson fan, nor am I really a Marvel fan anymore ever since Endgame. But I usually have pretty tempered expectations for movies. And outside of Spiderman, basically every single thing Marvel has done since EG just looks bad to me.

I don't know if I'm just not the target audience, or if I am just too unfamiliar with comic shite for it to resonate with me. But my desire to consume any of the Marvel shite (movies or shows) is virtually zero. And not out of some hard-headed stance or anything...they simply don't look engaging or entertaining to me.

Not to be a dick, really...but this is why Marvel (and Disney in general) is missing the mark so badly right now. They are making moves based on what they think they hear on social media rather than ticket sales or merchandise sold. These things are clearly not connected, and they ignore any bad comments as "trolls" rather than linking them to lost ticket sales.

Your goodwill doesn't make this thing make any money.

they’re missing characters that really push the needle.

people act like every movie they put out was making over a billion and at its peak sure, but really it was Spiderman and the Avengers doing that.

then onto movie that got probably a real marvel bump was the first Captain Marvel.
