Why do your kids hate Mickey Mouse?

LETS GO

I'm pumped. That's the type of star wars to get fans going.

This is the way.

My wife just asked why I put the hot sauce in the quesadilla instead of on the side.

Told her, “this is the way”.

By this point, Ahsoka is known to be alive at least by Sabine Wren - who is also a Mandalorian. Together they end Rebels ready to depart to find Ezra Bridger.

You could argue that the epilogue of Rebels is set after the Battle of Jakku.

Wait till they find out about Mickey Mouse Roadster Racers...

Mandolorian trailer looks bad arse. Also Mando's armor was looking legit. Very sleek.

You sure about that? The Jedi purge happened 30 years before The Mandalorian takes place. At the time of the Battle of Yavin, there were 6 known force users outside the Empire:

So what? There would still be countless people/beings on countless worlds who were alive back then, as evidenced by the fact that Ahsoka and others are alive.

That's like saying people wouldn't remember shite from the 70's or 80's. shite, the Knights Templar vanished 7 centuries ago but we still remember them.

Who knows as it was what 9 years since Han Solo said:

quote:

“Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.”

Well, let's look at the Force as we understand it in-universe...

Most people, as of the OT, know little about it. Luke is clueless on Tatooine, Han has heard of it (in his travels presumably) but doesn't believe in it.
The Imperial generals on the Death Star clearly don't believe in it, as one mocked Vader to his face (your lack of faith is disturbing...).

The Jedi are present in the Old Republic, but both humble and aloof, and don't mingle a lot. And also don't show off beyond being skilled "space samurai". Anakin being the exception, he occasionally showed off (and told Padme that his masters would disapprove of him doing so).
So while they were respected and held in awe, they also weren't known "magicians" for the most part.

We got shown a lot of feats that the general public didn't see. And maybe, there's a bit too much gratuitous Force "magic" onscreen for the tale to be correct (Force-pulling a lightsaber to your hand instead of just reaching for it, etc).

The Sith, they are even more hidden.

So there's legends of the Jedi, but we don't "know" of the Force, only that it's the Jedi's "religion". It's like a Shaolin monk or the code of Bushido, superimposed over a civilization that's a lot more Western in it's societies. There's a mystique, but we don't consider it magic.

In the trailer, "Mandalore the Great" is referenced. Is that a reference to Boba Fett by chance?

Its amazing how Disney could screw up the movie trilogy so badly but completely hit a streaming series out of the park

They people that they put in charge of this show (Filoni and Favreau) are the people that should have been in charge of the trilogy.

Boba Fett was not a Mandalorian. He was a clone that wore the armor of a Mandalorian.

Is rumored to be in this season though and more in season 3

And it's stupid and totally unnecessary. They have to explain his escape from the giant ant lion in the desert, and the fact that he's probably old as shite now.

Just to squeeze in a familiar OT character. They obviously didn't have to do this, as the success of S1 proves, but they just can't help themselves.

Pit of Carkoon-many have speculated he escaped and has been the cover story if and when he returns.

I guess the same could be said for Darth Maul who we thought died as well.

BTW I believe it was recently confirmed that he was in the 1st season. When the female bounty hunter was killed and we saw someone walk up with spurs on their feet that was Fett.

He was also born(cloned) 32 BBY which makes him only 41yo currently in the Mandalorian.

I had never heard of this show til the other day when one of my good friends from college at LSU told me that he is the stunt double for the main character.

He was a cheerleader at LSU and has always been into gymnastics/acrobatic stuff
