but it seemed like a plot hole especially when the senior officer didn’t recognize Mayfeld.
I didn't see the officer not recognizing him as a plot hole at all. The officer was clearly someone that didn't give a shite about the lives of his men so it made perfect sense he wouldn't remember someone.

Was Mando trying to use the force against those pirates before the Ties strafed them?

Yeah she's pretty bad IMO.

She got hella thick this season too. Still hot.

I thought that face scanner accepting Mando's face was some huge reveal that he worked as an Emperial soldier in the past. After reading this thread, I guess I am way off.

Has he met Will Ferrell?

AVGN has said this too.

Like Mando getting hurt because he tried body blocking the blows from those staffs in the stormtrooper armor like he would with his beskar armor.
Yeah I loved that, especially since I just had that thread about how terrible the empire armor is
When he changed into it I was thinking, they should have him try and use that armor like his beskar to show how weak it is, and then like two minutes later that’s what happened
It makes sense story wise too, because if he’s used to fighting a certain way, in the heat of the moment that is what he will do

Bill Burr thought about his dad coming home from work angry as a kid and teared up on cue for that scene

I also read something else praising Pedro’s body language in this episode.
If you watch how he moves, he moves like he is still wearing a helmet. Like a guy whose worn one for 30 years and moves like this out of habit. He turns his head and body more than a normal person who just shift their eyes to the peripheral.

Interesting. I thought he was just trying to look around without turning enough for Burr to see his face. But the awkward movement was noticeable.
