1: This movie didn't need to be remade. It was perfect in its original form.

2: If it was getting remade, then why live action? It's an animated movie.

3: I don't even care that they made Ariel black.

4: The CGI stuff is choking me like pollen in my sinuses.

5: Why does this movie need to be remade?

Wow. I never planned on watching it, but that looks even worse than I could have imagined.

The music is amazing but they keep tapping the same well on this stuff. They are creatively bankrupt.

Bc the people who run Disney have no originality and are finding new ways to profit off their renaissance of animated movies from the 1990s by making a live action everything, usually with a “diversified” cast.

I like the part where the ship exploded and was on fire.

The nostalgia and pull of the music will make this a success, at least on the opening weekend. I think the wokesters will show up in droves to virtue signal and that will cancel out the #notmyariel folks who are Little Mermaids fans but refuse to see this version.

I don't see it having legs, pardon the pun. It will have a massive drop the second weekend and be forgotten about quickly, which will be a blessing.

I find this so divisive. Not only the race swap, but also changed her iconic fire red hair to brown with a slight red tint. And gave her dreads on top of that.

Disney has gone so far down the woke rabbit hole that I cant see them coming out of it. They seem to delight in provoking a response from fans of the original material.

I dont see them reversing course.

It's gone beyond virtue signaling to down right antagonizing fans.

hell, in the Peter Pan trailer there as a scene where the Darling Boys are in the nursery and looking to who must be Peter and the youngest says, "Peter Pan?!?"

And then a kid that looks like The Little Drummer Boy from the old Rankin-Bass Christmas Special says, "Were you expecting someone else?"

FYI...Peter Pan.

Yeah...they were expecting PETER PAN!

Agree with a lot said here but if my daughter was still little I would definitely be hyping it up to her and she would love it.
The whole stuff does get old not sure they were going for that here though.

Weren’t the ages in the original kind of fricked up like Ariel was 14 and the dude was like 20 or something

Regardless all of the live action Disney movies have been pretty bland
