Especially given the current climate lol. If they were insistent on using a black actor, the guy who voiced Kratos in God of War would have been my top choice. Or hell just use Idris again. Yeah I know he was in The Jungle Book but who cares?

Yeah, I’d rather he return than Jones. Jones did not sound good as Vader in RO. Would have been a nice mix up from Shere Khan to cast Idris Elba as Mufasa.

Yeah, I don't know what to think. I don't know how else to explain other than these Disney movies don't translate well into live-action for me. Like the Beauty and the Beast remake was damn near a frame by frame duplicate of the original and it just wasn't nearly as good. It wasn't as bad, just not as good.

Yes because they think since Lions are from Africa you must be African American to voice an African animal. Otherwise its cultural appropriation.
