The Last Jedi: Lets Predict the direction of the next movie (SPOILERS from TLJ obviously)

What I learned from TLJ:
Rey is the reincarnation of the chosen one. Anakin reborn. Sent to rebalance the Force against the rising darkness.
This explains the cave scene when see saw endless reflections of herself in sequence all acting in sequence. Her parents are “herself”.
This also explains why she is SOO strong in the force and why anakin’s light saber “woke her up”
Her connection with Ben Solo is familial because it’s a residual connection to Anakin’s grandson.
Ben was wanting to be the NEXT Vader whereas Snoke realized the LAST Vader was actually reborn. Ben is going to fully realize this and it’s going to change him and redirect Rey.
The whole political/philosophical idea of TLJ was that good and evil are part of the same coin (arms dealers selling to same side, yin/yang on floor of temple, Luke’s lesson to Rey about the force being between).
Ben’s goal is to burn it all down. The sith. The Jedi. To master all - Jacen Solo’s exact motivation in The Legacy of the Force Series - turned him dark anyway.
Rey believes the same thing but she’s seeking to PRESERVE the coin which is another reason she wants to preserve Kylo.
Other than that - unless they introduce a major power up to Ben or return Snoke in someway the plot for the next movie is in trouble at this point because they put themselves behind the 8-ball in this movie.

That Rian Johnson ripped JJ apart (Bye Snoke, bye Phasma shiny suit Boba Fett rip-off, bye Kylo’s mask, bye Luke) and now he either has to follow someone else’s storylines or make an awkward U turn.
Since he has not exactly been original between Trek and SW I would expect the latter.

Since Kylo Ren killed his master, he will take an apprentice (rule of 2).
We finally see Lothal and Mandalore on the big screen. Phoenix Squadron returns.
Rose loses weight and looks hot.
Inferno squad (Zay and Shriv) make an appearance after finding the trigger to deprogram the stormtroopers from Project Resurrection.

Hux challenges Kylo for control of 1st order, one goes rogue- I am thinking Kylo- meaning a separation between the "evil empire theme" and the Sith.
Rey was completely created by the force and found then sold by the drunk junkers.
The Star Wars Story is transitioning from being the story of the Skywalkers to being the story of the Force. This way Disney can keep the story going forever without being tied to any actors.
Philosophically we see a shift in the way the Star Wars story is a reflection of the World it was written in. In 1977, generally people saw the world in terms of right/wrong, good/evil. In 2017, morality has become much more relativistic.

Here's the way it should go:
Opening scene is a little boy, looking into something, we're not quite sure what it is. The camera pulls in, revealing the the little boy is looking into a snow globe with the characters from TFA. We see the eyes of the boy and realize something is not quite right. It is revealed he is autistic and the entire Episode VIII was in the head of a little autistic boy.
At that point, the screen goes black, "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." appears, horns blast and the opening crawl appears, revealing that this is, in fact, not episode IX but the real episode VIII.

One thing we agree on is they definitely have their work cut out for them with this next movie.
They killed Luke, killed snoke with no backstory or motivation, destroyed Reys character, etc...
Boring bullshite.

They need to put Snoke back together again Grievous style, I wanted him to kill Luke before he died.

No more mysticism left. One of the best parts about this universe.
IDK why do the next one. It really wont feel like Star Wars then.

All I know is they fricked up the mystique of the force 10x worst than Lucas ever did with midichlorians.

I can safely say that after seeing this movie that was riddled with sociopolitical messages, and character assassination of Luke and Leia, I will not be seeing episode 9 in theaters. I've lost all interest in everything Star Wars knowing that this is the direction that Disney will continue to take it. It's only a matter of time before there's an all female Star Wars movie.

Apparently the force allows you to survive space.

We did not learn that. There is no implied familial relationship. If Anakin appears to her in nine it’s lazy storytelling

It's not even worth predicting when they set up things in TFA that weren't remotely addressed in the sequel.

The bad part is I can not control myself from not going opening night because it is Star Wars. I'll go just for the opening space scenes.
They really fckked it up with this one.

So Vader or Palpatine went to the Kaminoans and cloned himself but asked for a girl version instead? Like Jango and Bobo?
Rey will teach herself, her own master, with the books. Yoda makes it seem like she knows it all but tricks Luke by saying "there's nothing in there that she doesn't already posses"...he was talking about her haven taken the books not the knowledge.
Kylo will gather and teach the "group of kids" Luke said he left with but now that Snoke is gone I'm not sure how much he can teach them? Maybe he will somehow steal the books from Rey?

Its like LOST, the internet predicts the outcome so the writers try to flip the script mid stream to say "see you were wrong" but they change on the fly just causes plot holes.

Next teacher/student scandal obviously.

He’s not going to appear - Rey is Rey - the embodiment of the forced passed on through generations to restore/maintain the balance Luke was describing. She is neither good nor evil. She is what she has to be.
Anakin, in his time, tipped the scales to the light when he fought for the Jedi, then tipped them dark when he went to the empire. Then killed the emperor bringing balance.
I think that’s the mythos Disney's building toward. Every new generation will have a tension going back and forth.
When Kylo goes all dark, Rey is pulled toward the light. When she thought there was light in Kylo where did she gravitate on the island - straight to the dark and that scared Luke.
Snoke probably assumed the next incarnation would be Ben Solo because he was Skywalker blood then Rey shows up out of no where and bests him after being “woken up” by Anakin’s memories in TFA. Snoke essentially tells Ben he got the wrong one and that he is not the next Vader (just a kid in a mask) so he plots to bring the true Vader (Rey) to himself.
Ben, I think to some degree, is aware of this. Which is why he needs her and gave her the half truth of her origin.
Y’all can hate it, but the bread crumbs are there and it’s one of the only consistent theories through both movies. (And as a SJW PLUS you get a gender ambiguous hero who in their soul can be either gender)

Yeah, Luke the Jedi couldn't do on the ice planet Hoth, what Leia (not Jedi proven) could do in space, to save himself?
Just stupid and lazy
