Going to defend my criticism a little and that above is false.

1. Rey - Built up this intrigue about her parents to find out she is from a couple of drunks? Come on.

2. Snoke - Built him up to be this ultimate baddie but can't sense his apprentice is fixing to kill him?

3. Luke's death - As I said in the other thread I have no problem with killing Luke off but the way did they it was cheap and BS. Force projection really? At least let him go out like Obi-Wan and actually duel Ren in person. (Also the lightsaber toss kinda irked me too.)

4. Leia's space walk - I mean seriously, not one person has a problem with this?

Those four points are probably my biggest issues. I could handle the humor but it was forced at some points.

Good choice. Yea, stay away from the other threads. All of those “independent minded critics” are just nitpicking shite until Red Letter Media tells them it is OK to enjoy the movie.

But whatever, that’s why I made this thread!

How DARE someone have a different opinion than you!

There are fundamental problems with this movie some of you are glossing over. If you enjoyed it anyway that's fine, but stop making this out to be as good a movie as ESB because it's not even close.

This is so dumb on many levels. Also Finn doesn’t have a starring role, in this film he’s a minor character

And don’t forget all those icky girls in protagonistic and heroic roles.

Wow. This is pathetic.

There's a difference between criticizing it and crying their poor little eyes out because they made up their minds days ago.

No one built him up as this except fans IMO

Loved how are characters were actually in danger. At different moments, I was certain Finn, Rose, Poe, Leia and Hux were all gonna die. I don’t know if that was editing or writing or not.

I liked the Hoddo character. She really helped advance Poe’s story to becoming leader of the resistance. S/o to Billie Lourd’s performance!!

Leia spacewalk was a tad cringey b/c I was a fan of that death: abrupt and crazy! But Ben Solo has Leias blood so he probably has something like that ability too; maybe setting it up

I don’t take the movie to seriously, so I even enjoyed the chrome dome line!

I left the movie thinking “ wow, luke really was extremely powerful with the force”

:breathes:.... I don’t know how to explain this any more clearly to you thick headed dolts. I’d rather not bitch and argue over something that is intended to be fun and uplifting. You, and your ilk, are damn miserable (and you are a notorious bitcher on this board) so yea I’d rather talk with people who actually enjoy things.

And you are completely contradictory in your statements. You admonish me for getting annoyed with dissenting view points, yet your last sentence practically dares ANYONE to enjoy this as much as Empire.

And I’d rather not this thread be a place to whine about the bitchers, but y’all are so miserable you keep showing up here I’m not sure what else to do

It’d be great if you could try and talk about things you enjoyed in the movie rather than focus on everything you hated. And if you didn’t enjoy a single thing out of it, you probably shouldn’t be watching.

Not 100% convinced, i mean this was coming from Kylo Ren. Even if she truly is from no one, it plays into what Luke taught her earlier. The force doesn't belong to the Jedi, it can be used by anyone.

2. Snoke - Built him up to be this ultimate baddie but can't sense his apprentice is fixing to kill him?

Fans did that, not the movie

In person or projection, whats the difference? he accomplished his goal and bought the resistance time to get away. I didnt really have a problem with this, i actually thought it was kinda badass and showed just how powerful with the force Luke is to be able to do that.

(Also the lightsaber toss kinda irked me too.)

Why? Luke goes to all the trouble to go into self exile and someone he doesnt know tracks him down and tries to give him back something he no longer wanted and tries to pull him back in. You would have liked it better if he had been excited/happy about that? I didn't have a problem with it.

I dont have a problem with the theory of it, i like that we get to see Leia use the force...I think it just looked really fricking weird. This was a moment that took me out of the movie for a second.

Or how about I'll do whatever I want instead?

If you need a safe space to gush about a deeply flawed movie I'd suggest you go somewhere else

or you could go to the other 4 threads about this movie that are nothing but hate and actually let people who enjoyed the movie talk about what they enjoyed without being bombarded with hate. The movie is by no means perfect but there are good things in this movie even if you don't want to admit that...or you and others like you can continue being a bitch about it and trying to ruin it for everyone who doesn't share your view, that's certainly your right as well.

I tried to go somewhere else. That’s why I started a whole new thread to get away from the bitching. Yet you came here to bitch as well because you can’t accept the fact that some people want to enjoy the movie. But as long as we’ve established you’re just being a whiny bitch then I’ll move on.

Wrong. If you enjoy the movie that's fine. Just don't tell me it's a good movie because it's not.

It goes the other way too. I don't particularly enjoy The Artist, but I recognize it's a really well made movie. See how that works?

Was reading through the other thread last night and it was miserable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It felt a little slow to start but picked up quickly. The throne scene was awesome. Like others have said, it seemed slightly out of character for Luke to give up on Kylo as he didn't give up on Vader, but I think he may understand that is Rey's story now.

Nice to see Luke go out in a badass way that we haven't ever seen anyone else use. Hopefully one of those Jedi books was a "How to make a Lightsaber for Dummies". Overall I thought it was a great movie and just behind Empire.

No one is trying to tell you to enjoy it, its perfectly acceptable that you don't enjoy it. You are the one who inserted yourself into a thread clearly labeled for people who enjoyed the movie. No is seeking you out and saying DS you have to enjoy this movie, the only one doing something similar to this is you, by seeking out people who like the movie and telling them they are wrong for enjoying it.

Wow you’re a dumbass. Again, I tried to come and talk about the movie with people who enjoyed it here. I made a few posts in the other threads arguing, then realized that’s probably not the right approach. I’d rather not argue and tell everyone who hated it why it’s good. Don’t know to put that any more simply.

And I’ll say again, if you hate the franchise so much (which I’m sure most of you do and haven’t considered any of them good movies since Empire or RotJ) why the hell are you putting yourself through this? Is there some giant Star Wars sized hole in your life that hasn’t been filled since childhood? I don’t care what the reason is really, but you should probably evaluate what you watch and why you watch them.
