WTF are you? Don't like Friends or Frozen? Think cute little toddler outfits are ridiculous?!?!

I'm not a huge fan of Frozen, I thought it was pretty overhyped by the time I watched it. That being said, I am a guy and have 2 sons, maybe I would be more into it if I had daughters. I like sailor outfits better than the smocks and bubble stuff pics posted in that thread

Its probably the worst Disney movie released in theaters, however the marketing campaign is second to none.

Story makes no sense, the characters are awful, the songs aren't that good, however the singers are great.

What makes it a bad Disney movie? You don't like the heroes/heroines? You don't like Olaf? Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff compare favorably to all the old traditional Disney characters. What's so bad?

The songs are so good that most people I know came out of the theater saying that it could almost go straight to Broadway without that many changes.

If you really want a kick to the nuts, watch Frozen 2. That story makes no fricking sense and changes the mythology built up in the first one.

Agreed! Frozen 2 makes no sense.

I don’t care if the whole Rudy story was basically BS, that movie had the greatest sports movie ending of all time.

absolutely hate it

kids growing up took it as a reality and that it could actually happen to them.

Sorry buddy, if you're that unathletic and that undersized you aren't getting on the field of any major CFB program (Vandy doesn't count)

To me it's that she symbolically let it go. She let the ball go as she also let her sport go, knowing it was a brief and not very meaningful moment in her life when you compare it to the rest of her life and her family.

Dottie was a PoS, she would totally screw over her team for family that she screwed over not that long before. She sent their pitcher (her own damn sister) to another team in a bitch move, she almost left the team in a playoff run, hell she didn't even care to keep up with any of the people in the league afterward and didn't bring anyone from her family to the hall of fame reveal. You would think she would have at least went with her sister, but no they went separate. The league meant very little to her til she realized how much she fricked up with that part in her life at the end.

Anyone who says Moana is the best Disney Animated movie of the last 30 years is out of their mind. Of the last decade? Top 3, yeah sure whatever, but best of the last 30 years? The hell is wrong with you?

Also Mad Max:Fury Road is by far the most overrated action movie of the last decade. The plot was shite, the characters were shite, and it had just as much CGI, if not more, than every other big budget blockbuster that Hollywood has cranked out in the last 20 years

You can tell a movie is shite when the most pointlessly gratuitous character inserted in a film this millennium is the “best” and most memorable character to come out of the movie.

Furiosa is suppose to be some bad arse feminist icon and she is a complete and utter failure and that little stone city won’t make it another year with her dumbass in charge.

Seriously everyone who knights for this movie needs to pull the finger out of their arse and recognize it for what it is, not what it was hyped to be, not what you thought it is, but rather a shitty feminist version of the Fast and the Furious thrown in the dystopian desert of Australia. Oh wait, that’s called the Outback, which is exactly where this movie should be taken.

Here's mine:

The 13th Warrior is the best movie (and you can add in tv show, mini-series, whatever) about Vikings yet made.

I'm not sure when it happened, but at some time in the last decade of my life I got to the point where movies like this bore me, weird as it sounds. I like smart, realistic action, but the over the top stuff puts me to sleep.

If you want good practical effects in an action-packed movie then look at John Wick. Great practically shot action, that while improbable, is not impossible with a simple sensible plot that carries you from one set piece to another.

Tim Burton’s Big Fish at this point should be recognized as a great classic.

I think it’s his last great film and find it shocking people have to be reminded of it.

The 13th Warrior
is a great movie in every aspect, acting, writing, music, cinematography, mythology.

I guess it didn’t do well at the box office. I’d never even heard of it until I spied Antonio Banderas’ face on a dvd cover in the discount bin at wal mart a few years after it was released. Best 5 dollars I’ve spent on a movie. The final battle is classic.

Such a guy comment. Father of the Bride, Somethings Gotta Give, and First Wives Club are such fun movies. Women love them! Of course, it all comes down to The Godfather for you.

You're just not her demographic!

Seeing as The Godfather is a top 3 movie of all time and one of the most famous movies ever, yeah, people are going to judge her based on that.

Kaye sucked in The Goddather because Diane Keaton sucked. And Apalonia was a million times better in every measurable quantity.

No, I don’t like Friends. One of the most annoying sitcoms ever created. Horribly written and horribly acted.

Well, what the hell is wrong with me? I don't know where do I start?

Look, as I said before, I've got two young kids so Ive been watching these movies a lot recently, and head to head, Moana is just better. It doesn't have the nostalgia yet cause it's so new, and nostalgia is tough to beat and I feel like that's what most are holding on to when you look back at the movies.

Anyways, I posted the list of movies. Tell me what's better and why?

Keanu Reeves is a terrible actor. Every movie he's been in has been degraded due to his sub par acting.

Lol. Fury Road is a masterpiece. If anything, it's underrated. There's actually very little CGI in Fury Road. They filmed this movie in the desert, driving and crashing real vehicles, those are real people hanging off of swinging poles. That's a real guitarist playing live, strapped to a stack of amps. There are some CGI backdrops, but 99% of the movie is practical effects, not CGI.

There is no feminist message to the movie. Sure, one of the co-leads is a woman, that doesn't make this a feminist movie.

This movie has nothing in common with the Fast and the Furious. The F&F franchise is unashamedly cheesy. The people who make them, and the audience, know that the action depicted is way over the top and mostly impossible. There's an unspoken agreement to set your brain to the side and enjoy the cheesiness.

My hill to die on?

The internet with its odd ratings and rotten tomatoes, Reddit , message boards like this one and all other areas where 35 years living with their moms can lambast movies and tv, all while not be able to afford rent on their own are ruining a whole generation of people to enjoyable entertainment.

There I said it.

This stuff doesn’t have to be Dostoyevsky level deep meditative thought.
It can be simple and enjoyable. It can be dumb and funny. It can be sappy and lovable. It can be completely implausible and still immensely good. It can weave a mystery that may meander and never be solved.

And all the bickering people do on the internet about it takes away our joy of entertainment.

And we are lesser for having read and engaged in it. And I’ve been just as guilty as anyone else.

Life’s too short. Enjoy Friends if you want. It’s no Seinfeld but you do you.
