Saw it before Oppenheimer and broke out in a cold sweat. I’m a horror movie guy but might skip this one

I wouldn't get too excited. The dude that wrecked Halloween (Kills and Ends) is behind the helm. Low expectations here

The biggest audience reaction in the entire Oppehneheimer IMAX experience, was after this trailer... And that's saying something.

There was either a laugh at how disturbing it was, or a lot 'hell naw'

Meh. There are some interesting concepts in the trailer, but it's loaded with the annoying cliché strobe effect of shaking heads and the cgi takes away from the look of the kids. A big part of what made the original Exorcist so great is the amazing makeup and filming technique that brought authenticity to the moments. This feels way too artificial.

See they’re taking a “Jaws The Revenge” route.

I expected something a lot more terrifying based on some of the reactions before the trailer was released. The girl walking into church with blood on her was cool though

Still, it doesn’t really look that good which is disappointing. Hope I’m wrong

Seriously tho. Traditional priests seem more effective in the role. As far a setting the mood and providing genuine terror.

Yeah but it was shot terribly for what it was supposed to be. Terrible lighting, makeup, angles, etc. That clip made me almost chuckle.

If you want to go dark, go dark.

If you want to make a safe mainstream horror movie, do that.

Trying to pretend you're being dark while actually being mainstream makes you look like a parody.
