I think the top talent gets close to that. I think I read somewhere Vevmo or something once that John got like $60K an episode, and that was quite a few years ago.
Yeah, the challenge is super lucrative if you're an established player. I bet people like Emy get like $3K and episode, if that, and most of the big time vets get 10x that or more

A source previously confirmed to Us Weekly that newbies on the show make a $1,000 stipend a week. The insider also revealed that returning players, who previously weren’t the top winner, can take home between $3,000 and $5,000.
Meanwhile, “elite” players, like fan favorites and winners such as CT Tamburello and the recently eliminated Ashley Mitchell, could make $80,000 just for appearing on the first day — win or lose

There’s got to be some kind of interesting backstory to the serial down voter. It’s so strange that person comes back every season and does it.

Zach used to openly hate being on the show, but he used it for years to make his yearly living just by showing up.
I guess mtv eventually figured that out and he hasn't been on in a few years now. I figure neither he nor Jenna will probably ever be back.

I think Jenna just had a baby, so it will be a while for her if she ever does

Oh come on that seems to be the trend now, go on and talk about how you are a mom/dad now and this money means so much!!!!

Maybe all stars where filming isn’t as long, seems to be what gets most of the ones that have moved on to family life to return.
It’s funny to hear Amanda talk about what a mom she is….left her baby for over 3 months to film this season

Brad was on with Johhny last week and said All Stars is an extremely condensed, fast shooting schedule, while the real challenge has now become even longer, and shoots for about 3 full months or more.

I saw the same thing... and I bet we see more of Johnny, Wes, Amanda, Jenna, and other vets but not quite true OGs showing up on the All Star seasons.
Finally watching the finals last night.
1) Pretty weak final. No eating challenge. No sleep deprivation. Just endurance and puzzles and a few minutes of swimming that they didn't even have to all complete.
2) Nelson's geometry skills are amazing. Absolutely amazing. And then CT came in and got the answer in what seemed like 10 seconds.
3) If not for Nelson and team's geometry frickup, Devin's cardio would have cost him big time, because the Nelson team passed them with the torpedo and had they showed any sort of competence with the puzzle they probably would have been the faster team on day 1, leaving CT to destroy Devin in the elimination.
4) I appreciated TJ consoling Nelson after the loss. He doesn't usually do that, but it was clearly a heartbreak for Nelson to get that far and get beat, but kudos to Kyle who seems to always step it up when his game is on the line.
5) The Nany/Kaycee story makes me want to
Apparently they are still together though, so good for them.
6) Kaycee taking CT and Kyle taking Tori was obvious. No brainer moves there. I wonder what would have happened to the other 4 if Kyle/Kaycee had stick together? Do Tori and Emy have to fight it out for CT?
7) 20 digits seems like a lot, but really that just means each partner has to memorize a phone number. That's how I'd break it up at least. I still can remember a handful of phone numbers.
8) I feel like the scramble to enter the numbers at the end was editing to make it seem trickier than it was. No surprise that CT won, he's just a beast when it comes to this lately now that he's out of dad-bod phase.
9) Devin memorizing all 20 digits and nailing the combo first try was impressive. He's a running program away from being a legit threat, but in this final he had to hope the teams in front fricked up and they didn't.
10) Obvious move as well for CT and Kaycee to give away a portion of the winnings. It solidifies friendships and future alliances and both have won plenty of reality TV money over the years.

Not sure if you know this or not, but Amanda has a kid that is her world and she's competing for.
Just FYI.

There is a cool Instagram page that posts nothing but challenge stat graphics. It posted this one the other day that shows how longer the seasons have become:
And the newer seasons have even longer episodes now, (more than an hour)

You know I agree, but its no where near as fun as when Bananas fricked over Sarah.

So I wasn't that far off when it seemed like the most recent season had been on for 6 months

His performance on the puzzle was so epic no one is even mentioning his swimming.
nelson after quitting at swimming - i promise ill make it up to you guys.
also nelson when later tasked to solve a puzzle by making squares - ...what if we make triangles?

Hopefully we get CT and Johnny in the same season again and they are somehow paired against each other.
that would be very tough for bananas, i think in the house there would be a bias towards alliances with CT over bananas. CT has just been making great friends/challengers and even getting some paid. it would depend on the format of the show for bananas to have a shot at this.
neither of the two will likely come in last place in a daily so that makes the loser straight to elim format vs whoever is voted in, favor CT with all his allies.
if they have a similar call-out elimination format bananas would have a shot.
depending on format bananas would be much smarter to try to ally with CT, but its doubtful CT would accept this alliance. I mainly think this is an uphill battle for bananas, it wouldnt be their same old school rivalry it would probably be disappointing but i want to see it too

I noticed last night on my DVR that the reunion special was fricking THREE HOURS long. Anybody watch to see if it was worth it? I have very little desire to devote that much time watching a reunion.
Posted on 12/23/21 at 12:52 pm to CocomoLSU
It’s not three hours. It was two hours (reunion 1 and 2 aired back-to-back instead of one this week one next week) followed by the first episode of the new season of All Stars.
I haven’t watched All Stars because I have no interest in seeing old people who were mostly never good at the show compete, but I watched last night and I have to tell you, they were absolutely awful.

havent watched it but for some reason you made me remember *ashley got kicked off. couldve been a very different end game with her still involved, she probably wouldve replaced nany in the final.
if she doesnt beat emy and tori for deciding teams then she may just have eliminated kaycee on day 2.if she does beat them then maybe they figure out the puzzle sooner so that kyle/ct have to eliminate each other, kyle could maybe elim ct in something like that.

You mean Ashley... and yeah her getting such a late boot was a game changer and likely kept Emy alive in the game.
