The Fall, The Missing, Marcella, Paranoid ... all are incredibly impressive television (in that order). On to Loch Ness next.

paranoid started ok, but by the end was meh.
The Brits are really good, but you've only listed a tiny few.
Here are some more, in no particular order and just drama in general, (some are miniseries)
- Wallander (far superior to the Swedish originals)
- Spooks (aka mi-5)
- Luther
- Sherlock
- wire in the blood
- Hinterland
- The Red Riding Trilogy
- the tunnel
- Thorne
- Luther
- happy valley
- broad church
- cracker
- top of the lake (BBC show set in aus/nz)
- peaky blinders
- southcliffe
- Shetland
- line of duty
- UTOPIA (one of my all time fav tv shows)
My only real complaint with British tv is that Olivia Colman damn near pops up in every fricking show, and I despise her.

Haven't seen any of those but I'm interested.

Good list. I started Happy Valley but only got through one episode. Need to pick it up again.

I've enjoyed about 3 episodes of Foyle's War on PBS.

The Missing might be the most underrated show on TV

Love me some Foyle's War. Very good story telling. I got through Season 5 and they just took it off Netflix. Where are you watching it?

She's in one of our favorite BBC shows, Broadchurch.
Our complaint is that it often takes them 3-4 years to come out with a new season of a show, and the seasons are only 6-10 episodes. They better be good when it takes that long to come up with new material.

I used to love MI-5. I enjoyed The Fall.
But couldn't get into stuff like Broadchurch and their other crime dramas that people rave about.
Happy Valley? Etc.
Still love their quirky dry humor and one of the more underrated shows they've produced - Doc Martin.
Reminded me of a British spin-off of Monk.

Local broadcast PBS stations. Just kind of stumbled onto them in the last couple of weeks. The episodes I've seen are post war. He's working for MI5. I'm going to watch the earlier seasons soon.

The earlier seasons during WW2 are very, very good. Julian Ovenden, who plays Foyle's son Andrew, was also in Downton Abbey as Charles Blake.

I haven't seen any of these.
Pretty sure I have endeavor andinspector Morris in my queue on Amazon. These two shows are related aren't they?

Endeavour is about Morse as a young police detective. The Inspector Morse series from a few decades ago was about Morse in his later years and his protege Lewis. Now, Inspector Lewis is about Lewis in the present day and his protege Hathaway. All of these shows are excellent.
