Butcher sending Neuman a pic of his a-hole was also hilarious.
Trivia: That was the actress that plays Neuman's actual reaction to that pic. She had no idea what the pic would be until they were rolling.

Well. It’s an adaptation, genius. And never strayed all that far from poking fun at trumptards like n very subtle ways. They’ve just dropped the subtlety the longer the shows runs and the stupid fricks too stupid to get the subtle before are just smart enough to get it now.

“Hahaha they didn’t get that it was making fun of Trump before!” has to be the most tired BS I’ve heard from the fan base. MAYBE it could’ve been said that some slower folks didn’t get it before season 3, but this is just so dishonest at this point. It was obvious starting with season 2 that it was directly about Trump and not just generally left wing. Most people just looked past it because it didn’t make the show worse. It’s gotten annoying.

It’s not getting cancelled. 
The show is reaching its point of needing to tie and it’s overall plot point off… as in… killing or neutering Homelander and the show is running thin on The Boys “almost getting there but then fricking it up at the end.” Life cycle.

That sucks, it’s one of the best shows right now. The over the top political stuff shouldn’t bother people because it’s a satire about the current social political era plus it’s so ham fisted and off the mark on so much of it I don’t see how it bothers anyone.

You don’t get that the further unhinged Homelander gets, as he has every season, that the subtle Trumpian allegories are going to become more overt as he decides he can just do whatever the frick he wants? He was still beholden to his daddy creator and Stan Edgar in seasons 1-2. Hell, even last season was still beholden to his pitiful desire to be beloved by the populace like his spray tan composite.
And well. Yea. Zealotry and fanaticism works like the show is portraying. The loudest nut jobs get all the attention. And hell, for a large arse city it’s only portrayed as being maybe at best a few hundred on each side. Mostly the nutters.

Seriously. It’s portrayed its lone black female Supe as a psychotic eugenics encourager so far. Truly woke shows would have gone a far different direction for the “smartest person on earth” by now.
Hell. The Disney showrunner for Acolyte would have her be very openly lesbian and shown how much she was fricking with HL by now.

Yea, pretty much every character represents something within the current zeitgeist on the surface but they’re all actually individuals underneath mostly which I think makes the show work so well. You have these interpersonal stories going on along side the public personas the masses grab onto. And whether or not all the tropes fall where they’re supposed to it’s kind of irrelevant because at least they’re all acknowledged in some way.

I’ve long discussed the politics of the show here lamenting about how it’s more or less even-keeled.
But it’s gotten much more biased with the Homelanders (Right wing) being trashy methed out scum and the Starlighters (Left, quasi-Antifa) are just harmless goofs. Just on S4E2 do far.

The messaging isn't some supposition in need of nitpicking nor creative interpretation to see, it's right there. It would be easier to write her character without the perpetual victimhood angle, yet the writers purposely chose that route.
The ire shouldn't be in pointing it out, but rather that it's there at all.
