Man, there are some real dumbfricks around that believe everything is racist. How is being called one color less or more racist than being called another color? That is asinine. My point is that naming different races by color was not racist. It was a system created to identify different groups from different continents. I suggest you read about the Gottingen School of History.

Here’s a suggestion, asshat. Go down into China Town or really any other place where there’s a large collection of Asian residents. Start calling them yellow. See what happens.

People saying she is a racist must have read the books or something. I had no hint of her being racist in the show. Thought she just killed the black family because they were in her way to get the terrorist. She killed the terrorist because he is the terrorist.

I don't really care if it's a spoiler or anything but watch how you frame things is all I ask as now I can't see anything but racist.

Good lord, reading through all of this you really are a blundering idiot. Yes. I’m a “reader.”

And yes, Stormfront was male and a third Reich Nazi. There were legit questions about how that would be handled after the character and gender swap was revealed.

I thought they’d changed things given how she was presented early on given how extreme the character is. They didn’t. Hence the post.

Sorry you don’t have the grade school level deductive skills to figure out her murder spree and killing of Kimiko’s brother was far different than Homelanders sprees.

Only if you are looking for a racist do you put all those together and call the character a racist. I'm not arguing that she isn't racist or written as one.

It's not obvious but the seeds are definitely being planted.

I think Starlight takes Stormfront down. as I said before. If for no other reason, a chick-fight and it gives the effects crew a chance to go wild with the purple lightning and starbursts.

Could be. I think they've purposely held back at showing us Starlight's powers. They could be greater than we know.

Yeah, but I can't wait to see that smug a-hole get taken down.

Watched all 3 episodes last night. Just like the first season, a lot of hit or miss for me. The acting and writing are all over the place.

You have the godlike Antony Starr, then you have trash like A-train's actor. Karl Urban is a mixed bag with that accent, and most of the other actors are fine overall, but have moments where it's just painfully clear they're acting. Stormfront's actress is great though, my word. She is perfect for that character.

With the writing, you have great scenes like Homelander getting owned by Edgar, and then you have the complete trash sidestory with The Deep. A lot of the "carry drama" (minor moments of dramatic tension) they create for each episode is weak and not really believable. I really wish we got to see more inner workings of Vought, it's just so much more interesting than the stuff with The Boys

Overall, the episodes were entertaining. Excited to see how things develop

So the director said something about a coup. You think Gus Fring is doing it? I think I might have heard that they placed Stormfront there without a rehearsal like the blind hero. Also the fact they keep trying to get Homelands attention elsewhere with the kid and making them stay put and not hiding them again.

Also, Starlight needs to work on that posture.

Binged the entire show to date (Season 1 and first 3 of Season 2) over the weekend.

Good stuff.

My questions: Are all the Supes super strong and bullet proof except for the telekinetic Asian guy? Asian girl seems to take damage, but that's not a fair comparison since it was Black Noir that cut her up.

Even stupidly powered Popclaw was super strong.

Seems like they are all overpowered.

I did think it was a little easy for Stormfront to easily take down the brother. Why couldn't he use his powers while she was holding his hands? All he needed was an exposed finger when he was duct-taped.

WRONG! The Deep is one of the most comical parts of this show to me. His story is supposed to make you feel sorry and sad for him, but the writing and Chase Crawfords delivery makes it so damn funny. Example: just like the dolphin scene, him swimming in hot on the whale with a smug look of "YES I AM HERE TO SAVE THE DAY" all for it to backfire on him was hilarious.

Deep scenes that made me :
-dolphin through windshield
-lobster at the market
-whale crash

I've been curious about the power disparities as well.

I'm also curious if any of the Vought personnel outside of the lower level guys like Gecko (that they were experimenting on) are supes themselves.

I've wondered if Dr. Edgar himself has powers and that's why he's more willing to stand up to Homelander and Co.

his stuff was pretty funny last season, but they're just rehashing all the same beats with him this season. the whale shite wasnt funny bc it was a literal repeat of the dolphin scenario. i hope they stop milking the same concepts with him and advance his plot

eh, maybe I'm just a big advocate of the show that I still see differences in the scenes. To me they were different because with the dolphin, he was trying to save it and he failed miserably. With the whale, he was not trying to save the whale but use it as a means to be the "hero". Both attempts lead to him killing the animal which is what makes it funny to me (not the actual killing of the animal). No matter what he does or what his end goal is, it always comes up short tragically.

Being that the seasons are so short I can't imagine there being anymore similar scenes with him and his story line will progress in other ways.

Plus, it's just a running joke/parody of how Aquaman has shitty powers.

What do they call his "beat"? Water crimes or wet crimes?

That's the only place he has value.
