Maybe they go the Darth Vader route with Stormfront, she practically looked like him at the end there.

I agree with this sentiment.
Each character on their own is amazing and interesting. Each story arc is well thought out and entertaining... Yet somehow when it’s all connected together it’s not as awesome as I feel like it should be. I think it’s the little stuff where is occasionally loses me, here’s an example of what I mean:
Vought is this big bad Powerful company that basically runs the world right? Yet somehow not only can Hughie and Lamplighter get into the top of Vought tower unnoticed, but Lamplighter can light himself on fire, burn to death, then Hughie has time to cut his hand off and escape WITH Starlight before anyone notices?

She... was reminiscing about the past... it's probably one of the most "real" moments we got from her character all season

I hope they go with the kid ends up not being what stops homelander, its instead the Boys, their allies, and the CIA.
The kid stopping him seems expected, hope the kid fails.
Also, wish they wouldve flat out killed Stormfront.
If Starlight gets her power from surrounding power, then technically she can be weak if no power around or ultra strong, if she draws from a nuclear reactor or and entire city????

Finale left me as ' meh '. The whole Nazi thing really plays in well for the rioters ( sorry, but politics ) going after Nazis, as if they were the only thing bad in the world. Sorry, commies just as bad, if not worse.
Oh, and some of the things Stormfront was talking about ? Actually are happening in parts of the world.

I still don’t know what to think of Maeve. I guess she’s just super strong? Pretty underwhelming that she didn’t seem appreciatively stronger than the other women in that cat fight.

And while you could complain about "politics", I think the Nazi angle was chosen because it fits the German "secret super-weapon" theme nicely. The Germans DID have a bunch of brilliant scientists, and they WERE searching high and low for any possible ultraweapon. They put a jet fighter in the air before the end of the war. They used ballistic missiles. They developed the first select-fire assault rifle (not a pistol-caliber machine gun, not a full sized battle rifle). They were working on the atomic bomb.
If any nation ever had the scientists AND the political agenda to experiment on live subjects to try to develop a Superman, it would have been Nazi Germany.
We took a lot of their scientists and further developed what they started. If they'd had something going in that field, we'd have taken them- other countries wanted their minds. And they had to choose between "free" America, or Stalin's USSR.

Shantel VanSanten is pure smoke.
Homelander definitely cares more about Ryan (to a surprising degree) that I’d ever thought though he’s still awkward and creepy as frick. StormFront definitely mind fricking with the both of them. Wonder if they’ll have those two killing each other as a possible endgame over Ryan.
Was not expecting ATrsin to pop out like that in the car. “frick that Nazi Bitch,” indeed. Pulling the reverse racism angle. Ooh baby, I can’t wait till she’s gets curb stomped. White genocide. Esposito just chews up all his scenes. I love we finally got an extended scene with him and Butcher. Still can’t gauge if he’s got the head popping or if that’s just another Supe in his back pocket.

Damn. I guess The Church is the next big collection of villains and overthrow gameplay. Homelanders narcissism and desperation to be loved proved to be too much. For now at least.

Also. Killer end choice of Billy Joel for the end credits. My personal favorite.

No idea how she knows WHERE to show up, but in the comics she can pretty much Hulk around. As in, leap great distances like Hulk. So maybe that’s her method of transpo. Though she could also have her own private Chopper.
I believe increased speed is also something she has though obviously not on a speedsters level at all.
And big schnoz or not, I find Claudia Doumit strangely hot as frick.
