This is sad. Is it the best series? No. Is it bad? No. Is it entertaining with good acting? Yes.

I guess original ideas remain non-profitable.

It was great. Didn’t think it needed another season though

If your show is on Netflix, you kind of have to expect this.

Agreed. There was nowhere left to go and the characters story arcs were resolved. No more seasons were necessary.

100% agree. I'm surprised there was ever talk of doing more seasons as the story felt completely finished.

It was a well done mini series. Leave it at that.

watching it now. On episode 6. So far pretty decent.

My son watched some of it and called it "Stranger Things" for adults.

I finished it, seemed like it was pretty much done...Man, Gena Davis was horrible in that show.

I may be in the minority, however I enjoyed it enough to want to find out what happens to Alfred Molina's character (very last scene of the final episode).

That's a stretch. Watched 2.5 episodes when it came out and having a hard time going back to it because the acting was so cringe.

It was decent, but I haven't finished it. I mentioned it in another post that it was just Stranger Things with old people. I don't know if I would've been "in" for another season. Especially if it was sort of wrapped up this season.

When I watched it, I turned to my lady friend and asked, Did she have a stroke or was she was she always like that? I legitimately haven't seen her in anything since Cutthroat Island.

Think it’s just so much plastic surgery she can’t move her face anymore.

Well you're missing out because The Long Kiss Goodnight is awesome and the soundtrack is even better.

Stranger Things with old people

I often wonder what an accomplished actor must think when their roles eventually age out to characters in a nursing home.

For most in that line of work, it has to be a punch in the gut.

Her mouth doesn't move normal on certain words. The whole Paz thing is weird though.

What have they got lined up that'll do better?

Odd choice.

There’s a report out there (From Jeff Snieder so take with a grain of salt) that the decision was due to the duffer brothers leaving for a deal with paramount and Netflix being pissed about it

But also in general when you have such a vague system of judging success like in the streaming system, it’s cheaper to make a new show and get a new show influx of viewers than bank on a second season getting return viewers and an increase. The cost of the cast and production goes up and it just gets lost in the shuffle of 100 new shows that will come out before the next season
