Exactly my thoughts.

Was Fett removed as well?

No he’s in the one on the show. I can’t screenshot it. It turns black but he’s there. Looks like only Luke was removed.

I never read the comics, but apparently Black Krrsantan is from the SW comics and he worked for Jabba with Boba. So I’d bet on him showing back up and helping Boba fight the Pikes

In the OG movie, when talking with Obi-Wan, Luke says "My father didn't fight in the Clone Wars. He was a navigator on a spice freighter."

In A New Hope, Threepio also goes off about how he's worried they'll be sent to the Spice Mines of Kessel. I'm guessing Owen and Beru told Luke his dad was a drug smuggler to keep him from asking too many questions.

felt like the gang was out of place too.

Not only that but also the rancor/Danny Trejo gift.

It seemed like they just abandoned the twin hutts story line. They just showed up said "yes we tried to kill you" here's a rancor. Oh by the way you can do whatever you want with this wookie who was supposed to be bad arse. We previously wanted control of this city/planet but now we are telling you it's completely useless although we wanted it.

That wookie got stabbed in the side and shot and didn't even have a limp or nothing. We knew they were strong but are they supposed to have some kind of crazy thick hide or something??

It’s pretty obvious the rancor is another plot to kill him.

That makes sense. It was giving him the weird stare when he left. I imagine Trejo saying it was gentle and he could even domesticate it enough to ride it was all BS.

Trejo would be the one it imprinted on as he was likely the first one it saw. It wouldn't imprint to Fett

I thought the episode was a steaming pile of poo due almost entirely to the chase scene. The graphics, the "stunts," the length, the music, the acting (the majordomo's face, mostly) - it was all awful.

Written by Favreau and directed by Rodriguez and just laughably bad.

They just need to get on with it.

The gang and chase scene wasn't good. Wookie sneaks in unseen and grabs Boba while in the tank. Somehow this half naked Boba is able to survive that long in a fist fight with a wookie. Dude's limbs would have been ripped off.

They've inserted so many factions into these first few episodes it's honestly a mess.

We have

Boba and Shand
Tuskens
Bad Biker gang
Cyborg Biker gang that joined Boba
Representative of the moisture farmers
Pyke Syndicate
Hutts
Black Krrsantan
Mayor
Rancor and trainer

All these elements and it feels like this story isn't going anywhere.

I agree the oddest of the three.
I didn't like the colorful scooters. But maybe having something colorful and clean is a status symbol on tattooing. Like Padme's chrome ship.

The scooters were terrible and that group of people riding them should be on some terrible network tv show not in the star wars universe on disney plus
Not to mention that slow vehicle the guy they were chasing was in

Definitely didn't feel like Star Wars. Doesn't fit Tatooine either.

They were earthly in their appearance, and the majordomo's speeder was too long and had fins on it like a Caddy. The whole thing was cringe-inducing. Even my SW-geek kids were laughing at it. And it went on forfrickingever.

Haven't really enjoyed the show much at all. The moped speeders were awful, as was the low speed chase. The speeder they were chasing looked like an old Cadillac or something. And the teen cyborgs seem way out of place. Where they have really won with these shows is that it really looks and feels like Star Wars. Episode 3 threw all that away. Hope they don't continue like this.
Also, the story is just not that interesting. Something needs to pick up.

I want to say that is the same make/model speeder that Han used in the opening speeder chase scene in his Solo movie, just a different paint job.

As far as the moped bikes, they were too colorful for this lived-in/weathered world. Might've worked in "pretty" Star Wars worlds like Naboo or Corusant, but looks out-of-place, even Hunger Games-ish, on Tatooine.
