Yeah, must be some shite going on behind the scenes. Really hope they get Hush or the Court of Owls to be the villain.

Gunn has been trying to get Reeves to agree to fold the Pattinson Batman films into his DCU. Reeves hasn't wanted to, from what I understand.

That could be a factor

It's either we never see this movie made, or Reeves has agreed to be part of the DCU

Probably going to quietly cancel and try to replace it with a more entertaining vision. Is anyone really clamoring for a sequel?

These are both awful outcomes

I am, are you saying start over again? Why not just continue with this?

The Batman was a huge commercial and critical success and people have been very hyped on a sequel. You have a faulty sense of this movie in the zeitgeist

I am. Even more so after watching the Penguin series. I want to see a fully fleshed out Reeves Gotham world.

The disappointing thing is they have some good momentum after The Penguin, and that's all being wasted now.

Absolutely. It was a good movie. And where The Penguin series left off, there's all kinds of momentum there to springboard into another movie. This sucks.

Damn, at this rate Battinson will go from year 2 Bruce to old man Bruce within 3 films.

yep. I hope there's a really good reason for this. 5.5 years between films is absurd.

It also possibly cost us Greig Fraser as the cinematographer for Dune Messiah. WB recently announced Linus Sandgren (La La Land, First Man) will be replacing Fraser.

He struggled with adding muscle and build for the first one. For the amount of work he takes on, that's going to be tough for him to get that back 5+ yrs older age wise, when hes not typically built for any of his other films. It isn't like a bale or a Cavill and he'll have a film where he's likely muscled up bc it makes sense already.

The suit adds "muscle " look, just curious since it was an issue the first go round for him.

The Batman was a lot of things. Emo wasn’t one of them. I loved it. A 2 hr Batman detective story. We never get to see that on screen.

The problem I have with the whole shared universe is in most iterations of Justice League in the comics, Batman is already a well known commodity in the universe. Pattinson is not that guy and I think it messes up the team. I honestly liked how Affleck portrayed Bruce, and older more jaded Batman that’s already seen all the bad stuff the world has to offer. Pattinsons Batman isn’t that guy.

Will Robert Pattinson be a man or a ma'am by the time this movie comes out?

Sorta not kidding either.

I'm shocked that drudgefest is so well liked. Pattinson looked like he hated every second of being Batman.

I enjoy the first two acts quite a bit. I think it has some great Batman scenes ripped straight from the comics. The third act is a mess, its too long and it feels like studio interference. But The Penguin was a blast, so I'd like to see this world continue.
