Great episode. Just think of the feeling of having to walk around with a bio weapon in your pocket.

That you can't seem to get rid of.

I have been very surprised at Elizabeth's response to Philip's EST experimentation. I thought she would lose her shite, and maybe she is internally, but it was interesting.

That end scene...how many couples have had that situation "we are in trouble," but nothing with the gravity of what they are going through.

Under normal circumstances she probably would but they have a lot bigger issues going on at the moment.

I'm half expecting her to go to the next meeting to help deal with her mother's death.

This looks like a shite hits the fan season. I really don't know how the show will be able to advance past this without something show changing happening. Will they have to move? Will they have to kill Stan?

Binged the first three seasons the last couple of weeks and just got done with the first two episodes of this current season. This is one dynamite show. The level of tension they constantly live under is amazing.

Paige's reaction to the revelation has kinds bugged me but it's leading to some good story lines.

Pastor Tim is not CIA.

Stan comes across as this guy that presents a very calm appearance while there's lots of turmoil going on inside. He seems like the kind of guy that would suck on the end of his service piece and blow his brains out eventually.

I wonder how tragic of a figure Nina will turn out to be. You pull for her to pull through but it just seems like she's going to be doomed.

And even though you kind of want to see Phillip and Elizabeth come out o.k., with all the horrible shite they do you also want to see them pay. They really do a good job of being monstrous killers and caring parents. What an incredible dichotomy. I sure seems like Philips innate morality is taking over and he's coming apart at the seams. For someone who seems so 'good' he commits some seriously coldblooded murders. And other than that old lady, Elizabeth doesn't get bothered nearly as much by wet work. She's as stone cold a killer as they come.

Paige could very well be their downfall before it's all over with if she doesn't get a grip. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Philip kill their handler when it's all said and done.

I sure hope this show has many seasons left. I love how they use real events to set the course of the show. It'd be a shame if they end it before the dawn of glasnost and the fall of the Soviet empire. My biggest question is if Philip and Elizabeth survive that long or don't get caught, will they just get out the game or keep working for post-Soviet Russia?

I can see the connections breaking with the fall of the Soviet Union. They go on to live normal lives, then 15 or so years later, they get a call that "Comrade Putin wants you."

SON OF A BITCH. I got a new DVR this past fall and forgot to set this up to record. I'm a huge fan of the show.

Somebody please give me a synopsis of what has happened so far. Not every detail just anything new that has pushed the plot forward. tia

one of the best recurring themes of the show is the gender swtich of sorts with phillip and elizabeth...how philip is the more emotional one and liz is the stoic...how she's a much better agent than he is, etc. the best part is how they go back and forth about their future and this has literally been a theme since season 1 (when it was more "should we defect and get PAID?")

now phillip thinks they should go home and elizabeth is the one being emotional about their kids as she resists leaving

i always talk about the layers of this show and this season is kind of skimming off some layers. this season is focusing a lot more on interpersonal relationships and the larger "what is the end goal?" scenarios more than the conflicts of missions. they're also almost ignoring the russians in the embassy to give nina's weird story more screen time

the possibly most interesting background story is the relationship between henry and stan. that may become a major thing down the road if shite hits the fan.

I think IF Stan ever finds out about Philip and Elizabeth, he will cut them a break if they can get Nina back.
