The EU is part of George’s cannon it just doesn’t supersede the movies and nowhere in the movies or “George’s cannon” as you put it is this material mentioned”.

It is part of the lore but not part of the Canon until it appeared in the acolyte.

Lucas set up tiers of cannon to include and encourage the EU. Pablo Hidalgo is currently in charge of this for Disney, though he also sucks, but the first mention of Cartosis is in the novel A New Dawn, which Lucas himself had input on.

I guess if all you have is this crap response, you’re going to stick with it. Fact is, there’s such a thing called as a synopsis or review. Plots can be known without having to watch this garbage.

This show makes no sense at all. It’s trash, outright.

The problem with cortosis is that unless you are deeply familiar with the EU lore, it made no sense as it was introduced. In a property with known rules, it is a little confusing to see a light saber blade head butted out of existence. It made zero sense because of how things were known to work in universe, The viewer is left confused until the next episode, and that was a direct reflection of bad writing.

You cannot judge a movie/show/book/play's writing based off a synopsis or a review. You should understand this as much as you try to present yourself as a critic.

If you wanna be a critic, do the work. Don't steal someone else's opinion and try to pass it off as your own.

That’s the thing, it’s supposed to be brittle and nearly unconformable. The only way you can turn it into armor is to weave it with some other material which lessons its effectiveness that’s also already very limited. So in the show what he’s doing with it is impossible. It’s also impossible the way he’s repairing it when back at his hideout or whatever. This, for Disney is just as bad as them always breaking cannon. It’s the constant misunderstanding and misuse of cannon. They take subtle, restrained things and ruin them by using it as a plot device or for shock value. It’s lazy and stupid which is pretty much Disney Star Wars in a nutshell.

it makes perfect sense.

I dont understand what people’s issues with it are.

It’s like the discussion in here with the Vergence. they talk about it being a place with a ton of force energy that can create life. but in general they mean like help spawn an ecosystem. We know the force is responsible for life in this universe. that’s well established.

THEN they said that by using the terrence they were able to put one life in 2 bodies. The twins are essentially force created clones. or at least that is the working theory of the Jedi in the show.

So is the show any good or not? A ton of replies for a show that is supposedly worthless according to many.

The Acolyte didn't come up with the idea of using it as armor, it was already in the lore in Thrawn: Alliances being used as armor and shorting out lightsabers.

During the Clone Wars, the Grysks, who used cortosis for energy management, told Count Dooku of an effective way to use cortosis against the Galactic Republic. By specially weaving cortosis fibers within a protective matrix, it was possible to create armor that was both durable and immune to blaster fire. The cortosis armor also redirected the energy of a lightsaber back into itself, causing the lightsaber to temporarily shut down upon contact. Duke Solha was placed in charge of creating a series of B2-series super battle droids equipped with the armor and, under the supervision of Darth Sidious, clone trooper armor that could be used for Order 66.

And yet, I successfully have. This shows 14% RT rating verifies it.

Why this annoys you so much is the true question.

This is a garbage show and each 24 minute episode cost twice as much as Godzilla -1.

It can only withstand a strike or two from a lightsaber before it would shatter. It’s an escape defense, you take a hit then gtfo out of dodge. You can’t do what The Stranger did with it.

There is no reason why the four Jedi Mae was sent to murder, should feel guilty at all. Sol (whatever ) was a ridiculous Jedi, who mindlessly disobeyed the council. The entire plot of this series is empty and contrived. It serves no purpose.

Nobody gives two flips about the main character/characters. Mae flips her motivation several times within a single episode without any explanation. It’s all because “wouldn’t it be crazy if…“ And then something crazy happens.

We are talking she-
hulk level bad.

I like that you've only watched one movie/tv show in full in the past 3 years.

The Null blade was able to withstand more than 2 strikes.

Qimir came up with a better method than the armor created before that was closer to the null blades strength.

You are splitting hairs.

This hasn't happened at all. You might know that if you wantched the show rather than YouTube highlight reels of it.

No I’m pointing out what you just admitted but didn’t realize. Disney destroys cannon by doing this kind of shite all the time. Just like “force sensitive” people, Rey or young Leia for example have no training or knowledge of the force yet in Disney anybody can have powers far beyond the greatest Jedi in the actual cannon from the OT and PT.

trying to give your opinion on a show you aren't watching and just reading reviews is pretty sad.

Disney destroys cannon

You can't even spell canon.

But as I've pointed out, we've never seen cortosis in the George Lucas Canon. The usage of it in the acolyte is the official Canon.

We have seen it used in similar ways in the EU lore, so they didn't destroy anything.

You trying to act like his cortosis armor taking 5 hits instead of 2 (EU lore) is destroying the entire foundation of star wars is laughable.
